New Chinese movies ready to fuel upcoming movie season
Following the success of the Chinese animated film "New Gods: Yang Jian," another homegrown 3D animated movie, "The Frog Kingdom: Extreme Games," is slated for national release on September 10 when the Mid-Autumn Festival falls. To get more news about new chinese movies, you can visit shine news official website.
The film is the third installment of "The Frog Kingdom" franchise that debuted nine years ago and has received several animation awards for its script and visual effects.
It centers on the Frog Princess's efforts to win a skateboarding competition. The never-yielding spirit of extreme sports is highlighted in the movie along with hilarious comedic adventure elements.
Movies screened during the summer have performed well and made more than 9.1 billion yuan (US$1.32 billion) at the box office, a 22.7 percent increase over the same period last year.
This success has rekindled many people's confidence in the industry and heightened expectations for the market in the following weeks as Mid-Autumn Festival and the National Day holiday are traditionally another important season for Chinese cinema.
"In spite of the influence of the pandemic, Chinese cinema still demonstrates a strong vitality and diversity with many inspiring productions," said movie buff Alex Liu, a 20-something engineer.
He also mentioned the ongoing poetic and tragic drama "Return to Dust," a nominee for the main competition at the 72nd Berlin International Film Festival.
Set to the backdrop of a rural community, the Chinese film has recently received wide acclaim for its true-to-life portrait of a rural couple in love.
So far, the movie has earned 80 million yuan as a "dark horse," and many movie fans are asking for an extension of its screening.
Hong Kong filmmaker Derek Yee's "In Search of Lost Time," a touching tale based on a real-life historical event, will hit cinemas across China on September 9.
Set in the early 1960s, the film tells the story of 3,000 orphans from southern China who were adopted by nomadic families in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region during a famine.
Yee expressed his wish that audiences will be moved by the virtue and love of ordinary people.
Other films to be released this month include "Her," a joint effort between Sylvia Chang, Li Shaohong and Chen Chong to explore the struggles and plights in life from a female perspective, and Yang Lina's "Song of Spring," a drama about an 85-year-old mother who takes care of her 65-year-old daughter suffering from Alzheimer's disease.
How to Differentiate Between Different Smart Door Locks
So you’ve recently moved into a new office, or you’re looking to renovate, and you find yourself having to decide what type of commercial door lock to get. You could opt for the tried and true standard, wired types of commercial locks. These encompass fail-safe locks like magnetic locks or fail-secure locks like electric strikes. To read more about the ecosystem of common commercial door locks, and how they integrate with Kisi, refer to this article on the Kisi blog.To get more news about door lock with wifi, you can visit securamsys.com official website.
What are smart locks?
In this article, we’ll be looking at a new type of electronic commercial door lock emerging on the market: WiFi-enabled smart door locks. Here is an example of a popular one: the Allegion NDE smart lock.
An emerging trend in the access control market is the total bucking of standard key-lock methods in favor of Bluetooth and NFC-enabled door readers. Indeed, Kisi is a strong proponent of this. WiFi door locks appear in the same vein, offering a slew of new solutions for the modern homeowner or office administrator hoping to rid themselves of physical keys and all the problems associated with them.
Why are smart locks important?
Studies and surveys show that half of Americans lose their keys at least once per week, and the total wasted time costs them $5,500 over the course of their life. The solution appears straightforward — make the switch to a keyless system! Now, it’s important to note that switching to a smart lock will not make your door physically stronger because the hunk of metal securing it to the frame will likely remain the same; however, it will give you a greater measure of control. Easily granting and revoking access will allow you to monitor who’s coming and going — ultimately making your home more secure. There are many factors to consider here before taking the plunge, and we’ll guide you through the decision-making process.
Are you installing in a home or an office?
The first aspect to consider is whether you’re looking to install at a home or in an office. While there is certainly overlap in terms of available offerings, the needs, and available resources, will be different.
Smart Home Inter-connectivity
The most exciting aspect of smart locks for homes are integrations with any one of the smart home systems available today, the most popular being Apple’s HomeKit, Amazon Alexa, and Google Home. Full home automation is an incredibly hot topic today, with nearly every electronic aspect of the home being incorporated into a unified ecosystem. Through voice commands or a display interface, the hub controls everything from speakers, doorbells, and lightbulbs, to plugs, temperature sensors, and video cameras. Smart locks are merely another fine addition to the collection. If you’re buying a smart lock for your home, you want to make sure that whichever one you’re considering is compatible with the smart hub that you currently work with, or with any that you might want to get in the future.
Office Smart Locks: Different Protocols
Beyond that, what specific protocol you want should be a factor, and this helps us segue into the office lock section. There are three main options here: Bluetooth, Z-wave, or WiFi. All three are wireless protocols that can effectively communicate with other enabled devices.
WiFi Protocol
WiFi, the most famous of the bunch, is the most powerful in terms of bandwidth capability; it has unlimited range given adequate network connectivity. This means you can communicate with your lock from anywhere in the world; however, it has the marked disadvantage of requiring a lot of power, so unless you want to be replacing the batteries on a monthly basis, you’ll need to wire in the power, which in our opinion somewhat defeats the purpose.
Z-Waves
Z-waves are a protocol very similar to WiFi, in terms of bandwidth and range, with the added benefit that they are optimized for low battery usage, meaning that you’ll need to replace batteries much less often. However, they do have the drawback that they cannot communicate directly with your network to transmit information: They require a Z-wave hub to act as an intermediary (you cannot talk to them from your phone without the hub). The good news is that most smart home hubs can interpret Z-waves, but it’s an added consideration.
Bluetooth
Bluetooth is a bit less powerful, in terms of network load, although it will be more than sufficient for smart locks. The one drawback is its range, which is usually limited to around 150 feet or less, meaning that you will need to be in its vicinity to unlock the door (you will not be able to unlock from, say, across the city). Beyond that, it is energetically efficient — requiring very little upkeep. Your phone actually speaks the Bluetooth language, meaning that you can communicate with it without needing any sort of interface. This is particularly cool if you don’t much enjoy having to navigate confusing and unintuitive app interfaces, and simply want to, for instance, tap your phone to the lock to get access.
3 Ways to Lock CAD files and Protect Companies Drawings
AutoCAD files contains sensitive information that should be locked to some recipients or protected from editing. Often, companies need to share some CAD drawings with a team of professionals who work collaboratively to improve the designs, framework, or content. But while this is done, it’s important to protect these files and ensure that the ideas aren’t stolen or used without proper permission. In the following article you will find out the best 3 ways to lock CAD designs. To get more news about cad file download, you can visit shine news official website.
According to the U.S Department of Commerce, intellectual property theft is estimated at more than $250 billion and 750,000 jobs annually. The International Chamber of Commerce estimates the global fiscal loss is more than $600 billion per year.
Manufacturing companies across all sectors have a blueprint of operation that includes some of their most hidden secrets and system designs, representing the backbone of the company. To keep operations running smoothly and efficiently, these secrets must be protected from unauthorized hands and prying eyes.
What are CAD files, and how do they work?
Computer-aided design (CAD) files are typically used to create models, technical drawings, blueprints, or architecture plans via CAD software, and they may contain both 2D or 3D designs. Another term used to refer to the same thing is CADD (for Computer-Aided Design and Drafting).
The CAD files are an extremely valuable piece with extensive industrial applications, including sectors such as Civil Engineering, Architecture, Automotive, Shipbuilding, Aerospace, Fashion Design, Interior Design, Forensics, Prosthesis, etc.
In these industries, the CAD file helps companies safely store designs of their current technological tools and prototypes of new or future designs. When companies do their designing and prototyping, there’s a need to share the CAD files with various key persons in the operation channel for evaluation and possible improvements.
During file sharing, companies sometimes experience a breach in security, causing their drawings (designs or prototypes) to fall into the wrong hands. As a result, invaluable, revolutionary ideas may get stolen, causing unimaginable lo. Or operations ideas may leak into the hands of competitors and put the business at tremendous risk. Hence, the need to secure CAD files to protect companies’ intellectual property.
Theft Challenges Associated with the use of CAD files
A company’s intellectual property is one of the most sensitive business components. Every business’s uniqueness that makes it triumph over competitors is often buried digitally as intellectual property. Proper protection of the files carrying the intellectual property is essential to reduce business risks and avoid unbearable losses significantly.
Unfortunately, businesses are not always able to keep their files and intellectual property safe, especially in companies where there’s little awareness about the damages of a breach in cyber security.
According to research, the core intellectual property theft challenge companies experience with CAD files occurs via email attachments or web transfers. Other less prevalent sources of intellectual property theft include stolen USB devices and laptops.
While the sources mentioned above may be seen as external challenges, companies also face internal challenges stemming from their greatest assets – employees. Employees of a company may intentionally steal some sensitive intellectual property for personal reasons, putting the company at great financial risks.
Yamaha unveils full suspension electric bike
Yamaha is very popular all over the world as a two-wheeler manufacturer. It has finally unveiled its new Yamaha YDX MORO electric mountain bike line. The Yamaha’s new models include the mid-drive e-bike motor and brand new frame design. The Yamaha’s first full suspension e-bikes such as YDX-Moro and Moro Pro features the world’s first bicycle with split top and down tubes. It also has an angle sensor to allow next-level automatic riding. To get more news about full suspension electric mountain bike for sale, you can visit magicyclebike.com official website.
The Yamaha YDX MORO electric mountain bike line shows off Yamaha’s new patent-pending dual-twin frame design. The split frame allows Yamaha to run the rear shock almost parallel to the top frame tube and that in turns lets the YDX Moro work a very compact frame which makes the seat height adjustable for short riders.
Now looking into its technical terms, the motor is a 500-watt PW-X2 of Yamaha’s own design and features sensors for pedal-torque, rolling speed, cadence and pitch angle. The bike can be easily worked out when you are riding up or down a hill, and adjust its assistance level accordingly. It has a 500 Wh battery and protects it in a cage-like structure. The battery can be removed and can be quickly swapped.
Yamaha partnered with Rockshox for suspension, with different levels of specifications. The new electric mountain bikes feature Yamaha’s latest mid-drive motor. The PW-X2 mid-drive motor system uses a unique quad-sensor setup that can detect pedal speed, pedal-torque, bike speed, and incline angle to more precisely calculate the required pedal-assist output.
The PW-X2 also features an automatic mode. It can intelligently shit between the riding modes such as Eco, Standard, and High mode. The motor also has a new EXPW mode that adds assist up to a pedal cadence of 170 RPM. The other details of the bike are not revealed yet but the bike will be a Class 1 model with assist up to 20 mph (32 km/h).
Himiway Cobra Review 2022
After being teased for the latter half of 2021, we finally have a full review of the Himiway Cobra — the all-new full suspension electric fat bike from a company that built its reputation on long range, affordable and uber-powerful e-bikes.To get more news about himiway bike, you can visit magicyclebike.com official website.
It’s an e-bike I was admittedly skeptical of, for reasons I’ll get into more below, but despite my reservations, the Cobra has so far lived up to its hype.
In this Himiway Cobra review, we dive into the details of this full suspension electric fat bike and put it through the ringer in a gauntlet of tests and hard off-road riding to see how it stands up in the real world.
As you’d expect from an e-bike company known for power and range, the Cobra is built around a redesigned 750W rear hub motor and a 48V, 20Ah (960Wh) battery that’s fully integrated into the frame. But Himiway’s suspension design and a host of other upgrades, including hydraulic disk brakes and a torque sensor, are what really make this bike stand out.
As is usually the case with electric fat bikes like this one, the 750W rear hub motor is really the core of this bike.
As this is a new bike, the motor has fittingly gotten a redesign. This new iteration makes 86Nm of torque and is better at dissipating heat than the old motor. It’s fast, torquey and climbs exceedingly well.
Powering that motor is a 48V, 20Ah battery that’s removable and fully integrated into the frame. It’s large, and, in typical Himiway fashion, gives the bike a really solid range despite its inefficient fat tires and energy hungry motor.
The drivetrain on our review bike is Shimano Altus 7-speed with a Tourney shifter, the same setup that came on the old Cruiser.
Braking is handled by a set of Tektro hydraulic disk brakes with 180mm rotors front and rear, though Himiway’s website is more ambiguous about the type of brakes on the bike, indicating this part may get swapped out.
Suspension wise, the Himiway is a full suspension e-bike with a four bar linkage. I have to say I’m pleasantly surprised with how well this bike rides, which I have to be honest I did not expect to say in this review. My skepticism is rooted in the fact that this is Himiway’s first full suspension e-bike, they likely do not have much experience designing suspension systems and, to be totally frank, a full suspension e-bike at this price point is very hard to pull off.
See rear suspension is hard to pull off. It takes lots of engineering know-how, careful design and tactful use of materials to make a bike that feels laterally stiff and vertically plush. I’ve ridden plenty of affordable full suspension e-bikes that frankly weren’t worth the money, and another few that felt downright dangerous. But the Cobra is neither. I’m not sure if Himiway got lucky or really did put its money where its mouth is on this one, but the Cobra rides very nice.
Frame wise, the Cobra is a very large bike. Compared to other popular electric fat bikes such as the Aventon Aventure or Rad Power Bikes RadRover 6 Plus, the Cobra’s wheelbase is a full 4 inches to 6 inches longer. It’s also taller than either of those bikes, with a 32-inch standover height that’s 4 inches taller than the Aventure and 1.5 inches taller than the RadRover.
The Best Bike Helmets of 2022
If you’re reading this article, chances are you don’t need convincing you should get a helmet. (Still on the fence? Get one!) But not all helmets are equal. Just as there’s a range of bikes, helmet designs are unique to the riding conditions. To get more news about ebike helmet, you can visit magicyclebike.com official website.
We’ve tested more than 20 helmets this year while pedaling, gravel-riding, and commuting on everything from short road rides to more rowdy single track to extended tours. Here are our favorite bike helmets for 2022. If you’re looking specifically for a mountain bike helmet, check out our review of the Best Mountain Bike Helmets of 2022.
Surprise! Specialized did it again and tops yet another cycling list. A cycling industry juggernaut, Specialized knows how to do things right, and its carbon fiber Prevail II Vent ($250) is a fine example.
It’s the perfect marriage of form, function, and lightweight materials that fit like a glove. Fortunately for us, this S-Works model won’t break the bank.
Borrowing from the brand’s already successful Prevail II helmet, the Vent removed seven foam bridges from the helmet’s frame. Specialized replaced the bridges with small rods that maintain structural integrity. It also provides better airflow and ventilation across the head through the 32 vents.
Protecting the noggin from rotational impact, Specialized integrated MIPS technology directly into the padding. Flip the helmet over, and you can push the padding around and see the 360 degrees of directional play. It offers the same brain protection benefits as other versions of MIPS and received five stars from Virginia Tech’s Helmet Rating.
The helmet snugs under the chin with a simple single strap. We find a single strap easier to manipulate than the more popular double-strap mechanism, which often requires taking the helmet off and using both hands to work the webbing. The strap clips together with a traditional buckle and is secured around the cranium with an easy-to-adjust dial.
Adjacent to the dial you’ll notice an inconspicuous black box. Like every notable black box, this one tracks data that can share your location, detects crashes (including rotational impact levels), and alerts loved ones or emergency services that you need help.
The ANGi (Angular and G-Force Indicator) system is free and pairs with your smartphone. Already got a helmet? ANGi is available aftermarket ($50). It’s a no-brainer for, um, your brain.
The Chiru MIPS helmet ($70) is our best budget pick for mountain bike helmets, and it makes a fine choice for gravel cycling if you don’t mind the mountain-oriented design. It comes in at a lower price point but with high comfort and protection.
The design has lower-skull coverage (the material extends low on the back of the head, slightly behind and in front of the ears), which is optimal for trail rides, but it’s what we’d want for more gnarly gravel rides.
For $64, you’re still buying into the integrated MIPS layer, giving you added protection against the rotational motion that impacts the brain during a slam. And the interior head basket system, called Turnfit Plus, offers a 360-degree customizable and anchored fit.
This is a great option if you often fall between helmet sizes. And the helmet received a five-star safety rating from Virginia Tech Helmet Ratings during a third-party analysis. If your rides pull you off the beaten path, it’s worth investing in more protection. Shell materials drop a little lower, protecting more of your head. And you buy into a visor and often a more secure fit.
Our favorite mountain bike helmet this year comes from Giro. While the brand makes a gravel-specific helmet, the Helios ($250), we fell in love with the fit, feel, and overall protection of its recently released Manifest ($260).
A pure mountain bike helmet, the Manifest is a double-shell helmet with an outer shell that floats over the inner shell through MIPS Spherical Technology. The brand describes it as a “ball-and-socket design,” which is an appropriate description. The outer shell articulates over the inner shell.
The two shells align ports, so ventilation remains generous. Donned on the head, it’s a wonderfully comfortable helmet.

Hemostatic Agents and Tissue Sealants
OBJECTIVE. Topical tissue sealants and hemostatic agents, seen on postoperative imaging in a variety of intraabdominal and pelvic locations, have the potential to be mistaken for abdominal abnormalities, especially if the radiologist is not aware of the patient's surgical history. The normal appearance of these agents may mimic abscesses, tumors, enlarged lymph nodes, or retained foreign bodies. Therefore, it is important to be familiar with their typical imaging appearances and to review the surgical records when needed to avoid misdiagnoses. The purpose of this article is to increase the radiologist's familiarity with various types of topical tissue sealants and hemostatic agents used during surgical and percutaneous procedures in the abdomen and pelvis along with their radiologic appearances. To get more news about hemostatic granules, you can visit rusuntacmed.com official website.
CONCLUSION. Various types of hemostatic agents are now commonly used during surgery and percutaneous procedures in the abdomen and pelvis, and it is important to recognize the various appearances of these agents. Although there are suggestive features outlined in this article, the most important factor for the radiologist is to be aware of the patient's history and the possibility that a hemostatic agent may be present. On postoperative imaging, hemostatic agents may mimic abscesses, tumors, enlarged lymph nodes, or retained foreign bodies, and accurate diagnosis can save a patient unnecessary treatment. It is therefore crucial to incorporate knowledge of the patient's surgical history with recognition of the typical imaging appearances of hemostatic agents and other pseudolesions to avoid misdiagnoses.
The intraoperative use of hemostatic agents and tissue sealants has increased significantly recently, largely because of the increasing trend toward minimally invasive surgeries and percutaneous interventional procedures. It is estimated that they were used in 35.2% of major surgeries in 2010 [1]. Unfortunately, with this rise in use comes new potential imaging pitfalls, because misinterpretation of the findings has been shown to be extremely common if the radiologist is not aware of the presence of these agents [2]. They can be used in a diverse array of procedures and can mimic tumor or infection in any part of the body [3, 4]. Therefore, an understanding of the agents and common imaging findings is crucial in postoperative imaging.
The major types of the topical hemostatic agents include gelatin-based products, oxidized cellulose, collagen-based products, polysaccharide spheres, and fibrin sealants, the latter of which can be used in various forms as a topical hemostat, sealant, or adhesive [5–8]. There are relatively few reports of their imaging appearances after various abdominal and pelvic procedures in the literature. These agents have been most frequently described in the urologic literature, primarily after partial nephrectomies.
In this article, we discuss the imaging appearances of commonly used hemostatic agents and tissue sealants in the abdomen and pelvis with examples illustrating the most frequently encountered pitfalls. The individual agents are examined as well, although these cannot be reliably differentiated from each other on imaging. Other postoperative findings such as abdominal spacers and omental packing are briefly explored. Finally, we discuss useful ways to distinguish their normal postoperative appearance from true pathologic findings such as infection or tumor recurrence.
Study explores the effect of COVID-19 on platelet function
The coronavirus disease-19 (COVID-19) pandemic that emerged in Wuhan, China, in late December 2019 spread rapidly throughout the world and has caused over 6.5 million deaths. The disease is caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2), a positive sense RNA virus that can lead to various clinical symptoms causing the hospitalization of many people with pneumonitis. Research has highlighted that COVID-19 patients have a high arterial and venous thrombosis rate involving pulmonary embolism, deep-vein thrombosis, ischemic stroke, and myocardial infarction. In addition, many postmortem examinations indicated the presence of microthrombi in the heart, lungs, brain, liver, and kidney of COVID-19 patients. This suggests that COVID-19 can cause systemic thrombosis, leading to multi-organ failure. To get more news about Профессиональный FАК, you can visit rusuntacmed.com.ru official website.
Previous studies have also observed that COVID-19 patients have a high level of serum coagulation markers such as D-dimer and fibrinogen. In addition, Thromboprophylaxis has been observed to improve outcomes in hospitalized COVID-19 patients. However, it did not significantly affect the mortality of patients with severe COVID-19. Therefore, thrombosis remains a prominent COVID-19 feature where high thrombin generation is not the only contributing factor.
Platelets essential for hemostasis can also lead to thrombosis due to inappropriate activation. Platelets can become hyperactive, leading to the increased secretion of dense alpha-granules, increased formation of platelet-leukocyte aggregates, and increased aggregation. Platelet transcriptome analysis has shown an overrepresentation of mitochondrial dysfunction and antigen presentation pathways in COVID-19 patients, leading to platelet hyperactivity. However, many studies also reported reduced or impaired platelet function in COVID-19 patients, suggesting that the platelet response is complex.
Although the pathogenesis of thrombosis in COVID-19 patients is not well understood, it comprises several hallmarks of thromboinflammation. SARS-CoV-2 can activate endothelial cells with the help of the angiotensin-converting enzyme 2 (ACE2) receptor, which leads to vascular dysfunction. Endothelium damage can activate the innate immune system through neutrophil recruitment, tissue factor (TF) expression, pro-inflammatory cytokines, and complement. This leads to higher expression and/or release of prothrombotic factors and upregulation of adhesion molecules which can activate platelets, causing thrombus formation, aggregation, and further activation of the innate immune system. Platelets can then increase the generation of thrombin through the expression of phosphatidyl serine and tissue factor (TF). This network of interactions between the innate immune system, platelets, coagulation, and damaged endothelium can contribute to thrombosis in COVID-19 patients.
A new study posted in the pre-print server bioRxiv* aimed to analyze the impact of COVID-19 on platelet proteome and relate the functional responses of platelets and the formation of platelet-neutrophil aggregate in hospitalized COVID-19 patients.

What are the seven essential features of a CAD software?
The CAD software must have all the necessary features to address your needs. To choose your computer-aided design (CAD) software, you need to take into account the current issues specific to your business! What are the challenges that professionals encounter for designing parts and machines? To get more news about 2d construction drawing software, you can visit shine news official website.
#1 A modern and ergonomic user interface
The first essential feature of the CAD software: its user interface. The way in which the tool is controlled and operated has a direct impact on the final productivity. The easier and faster the software is to use, the more productive the user becomes.
The commands must be designed according to modern conventions: copy and paste, drag & drop, contextual menus, etc. to allow the user to immediately adapt to the new tool.
Access to the commands should be easy, fast and intuitive, in order to optimize the user’s working time.
Choose a CAD software with a modern and ergonomic user interface: you reduce the learning curve and you can work faster.
#2 Associativity, a guarantee of reliability
Associativity automates the updating of one element with respect to another. The designer can therefore easily modify his construction history: the associated operations are automatically updated.
Illustrations:
Moving a screw automatically moves the holes.
Changing a chassis length automatically changes the positioning of the associated components.
With associativity, a key feature of good CAD software, you can drastically reduce the risk of errors or omissions when updating an element. And therefore, you can save time in the design process. So be sure to choose a tool that allows associative or parametric design.
#3 Choice in design methods
A good CAD software offers three design methods.
“Bottom-up” design: this is the simplest method which consists of first designing the parts individually, and then assembling them. This is the principle of LEGO®! The assembly is then a succession of predefined part positionings.
“Top-down” design: conversely, the designer starts from the constraint, then deduces the necessary assemblies and parts.
“In-place” design: a variation of top-down design where parts are designed in their assembly context. The designer then has the advantage of simplicity for the creation of connecting parts, in particular.
The relevance of which method to be used varies from one profession to another. A manufacturer of highly standardized products will favor the Bottom-up method, while a subcontractor who works “on the case” will favor the Top-down method, for example. In any case, the three methods are complementary. To take advantage of your CAD software, make sure that the tool offers these three powerful design methods: maximum flexibility in choice and the precious opportunity of complementary methods.
#4 Smart components
User productivity increases as good standard components are created. For this purpose, your CAD system must provide the appropriate features. Unique smart components, process management, installation wizards, etc. allow you to store user know-how. Ultimately, the design is accelerated: the productivity gain is obvious.
Himiway's New e-Bikes Are Inspired by the Animal Kingdom
E-bike manufacturer Himiway recently dropped four new fat tire models and they are as cool as their names. Inspired from the animal kingdom, the wheelers boast a very attractive design and long ranges, to name just two of their top-selling features. To get more news about himiway bike, you can visit magicyclebike.com official website.
Despite only having three models available until now, Himiway brags about having sold over 30,000 e-bikes in a year, with customers appreciating the bikes' impressive range, versatility, and solid, reliable construction. Now the manufacturer adds four more bikes to the lineup: Zebra, Big Dog, Cobra, and Cobra Pro.
All of them embody the animals after which they were named. All the e-bikes share the same basic features, except for the Cobra Pro, which is more powerful than the other three.
All bikes are equipped with a 750W geared hub motor (86Nm torque) and a 48V 20Ah Samsung battery that offers an estimated range of up to 80 miles (128 km) per charge. The Cobra Pro is the only one that packs a 1,000W mid-drive motor.
Both the Cobra and Cobra Pro come with 26 x 4.8” tires, while the Big Dog is equipped with 20 x 4” fat tires, and the Zebra has 26 x 4” tires.
The bikes have a maximum payload capacity of 400 lb (181 kg).
Designed as the company’s new premium, all-terrain, long-range bike, the Zebra shines through its incredible stamina, just like the animal it tries to honor. The bike is available in a 'step over' and a 'step thru' version. Both will set you back $2,000.
The Big Dog is designed as a cargo bike suitable for carrying equipment, making deliveries, and so on. It comes with some really useful rear racks and space to add bags, proving to be useful and reliable every time you need it. It is priced at $2,100.
Himiway’s Cobra and Cobra Pro are described as the most extreme e-bikes built by the manufacturer so far. They feature a softail design, mid-drive motor, improved suspension, and the widest tires. The Cobra is priced at $2,400, while the Cobra Pro will cost you $4,000.
You can check out all the models on the Himiway website. They are all available to pre-order, with shipping being scheduled to begin in February 2022.
There's also a thorough presentation of the bikes you can watch in the video below (skip to 1:04:08 to save time).
This Is the Right Amount to Spend on a Mountain-Bike Helmet
If you want to buy a trail mountain-bike helmet these days, you’re in luck. Half-shell helmets—the most common style for mountain biking and the only type we are dissecting here—are a popular category. There are about three dozen options from ten or so brands, spanning a massive price range, and all of them must meet the same Consumer Product Safety Commission impact-testing standards. That can make choosing a helmet quite difficult. To get more news about ebike helmet, you can visit magicyclebike.com official website.
There are several reasons to spend extra on a lid, starting with the fact that, well, it’s your head we’re talking about here. Aside from additional features (like improved ventilation) and better fit, pricier helmets have better design and construction that can—but won’t always—make them better performers in an actual crash. So if more-expensive helmets are lighter, better ventilated, and sometimes safer, how much should you spend?
Aside from cheapo lids at big-box stores, most mountain-bike helmets sold at independent bike shops start at $50 and go up to $300. For trail riding, our sweet spot—the point where you get the most performance for the dollar, and where additional gains per dollar spent start to tail off—is around $100 to $160. That’s a wide range, but as you’ll see, there’s a good reason for that.
How to Understand Safety Ratings
The primary job of a helmet is to protect you in a crash, right? Even though safety is the central goal, there’s not a lot of great information out there about how mountain-bike helmets stack up to one another. That’s partly due to how testing and certification work. The CPSC does not test helmets; instead, helmet manufacturers do their own testing (or pay a third-party lab to test them) and essentially self-certify. Also, CPSC standards are pass-fail, with no discussion of relative performance above the minimum thresholds, or compared to other models. For legal reasons, helmet makers almost never make safety claims or even talk about how far their helmets exceed testing standards, which means there are very few ways to really compare helmets for crash performance.
For higher-price adult helmets, the best source we’ve found for safety-performance testing is Virginia Tech. It is the only independent body in the U.S.A. publishing helmet-test results that reflect both linear and rotational impact forces (more on that soon) and assign overall numerical scores that allow limited comparison between models. There are other factors in buying a helmet, of course, but crash safety should be your main focus, and VT’s ratings offer the best method we’ve seen for comparing lids.
Features that Matter
Rotational-Energy Management
Every helmet listed below has a rotational-energy management system. This is a kind of “slip-plane” technology, typically a liner that sits close to your skull or between two layers of helmet foam. The most popular is from a third-party provider, MIPS (an acronym for “multidirectional impact protection system”), but some brands use proprietary systems (such as POC’s SPIN pads, or the honeycomb-like WaveCel technology exclusively licensed in Bontrager helmets).
Research suggests that traumatic brain injuries like concussions may result mostly from rotational forces that violently twist the brain inside the skull, rather than the linear impact force directed straight into whatever object you hit. Rotational-energy management systems work by letting the helmet slide and rotate slightly against your skull in the crucial milliseconds after impact, dissipating some of the forces that create that twisting or shearing stress on the brain.
These systems first came into existence about a decade ago. But no official certification standard (from either CPSC or similar protocols in other countries) measures rotational energy, so helmets are tested and certified only on how they handle conventional, linear impact forces. Still, we recommend that you buy a helmet with a rotational-energy management system. Thankfully, except for helmets purchased from mass-market retailers like department stores, it’s hard these days to find one without it.
Additional Safety Tech
Around $150, you’ll start to find helmets with roll-cage reinforcement: essentially a plastic or polycarbonate lattice inside the EPS foam that works a little like rebar reinforcement in concrete and helps hold the helmet together structurally in an impact. Some top-tier helmets also come with multidensity construction, which basically uses higher-density foam in some zones for better protection against high-energy impacts, with lower-density foam to help mitigate lesser crashes.
Fit, Comfort, and Ventilation
First, look at the fit system: typically a dial at the back that tightens the helmet around your occipital lobe. The best fit systems completely encircle the skull at the rim of the helmet, keeping your head centered; cheaper ones are anchored only halfway around and basically shove your forehead against the inside front. The cheap systems are less comfortable and may inhibit the function of rotational-energy management systems. (For folks with large heads and/or who wear larger-volume hairstyles, look for helmets whose size XL fits a head circumference greater than 60 centimeters, instead of going by the listed size.)

Birds are more than just flying animals; they are vital to ecological well-being across the globe. Birds are some of nature’s most able cleaners. One vulture, for example, is responsible for over $10,000 worth of waste removal.
They are also massive contributors to pest control. Birds eat 400 to 500 million tons of insects every year. As such, they protect crops and help keep pest populations in check.”
Birds are vital to the environmental ecosystem, which must building owners and managers must consider when selecting the best bird repellent for their structures. Below are some of the core considerations when choosing which bird deterrent devices to use.
Bird spikes are commonly used bird repellents and see great success. They are used to deter birds from landing in certain areas, hanging around, and creating nests. Some pros to bird deterrent spikes are:
While there are many advantages to bird deterrent spikes, we must also address the disadvantages. Spikes are very effective at keeping the birds at bay; however, they can create other unsightly problems. Some spike bird deterrent cons are:
Netting is another option for bird repellents. It is an excellent option for bird proofing buildings as it prevents birds from accessing gardens, eaves, and canopies by creating a barrier. There are many pros to netting bird deterrents:
What Other Solutions Are Available if Neither Work?
The implementation of spikes and nettings are often effective but are sometimes not the optimal solution depending on the buildings’ needs. Multiple other solutions are available if spike deterrents and netting do not produce the wanted results. Some of these solutions are:
Visual Deterrents – Visual decoys are safe to keep birds away from buildings. Installation is easy, with the decoys hidden from the view of building occupants and visitors.
Audio Deterrents – Audio devices are an effective method of bird repellents, and they do not cause harm to birds or impact the structural integrity of the building. They send out warning noises to other birds and can be effective from hundreds of feet away. They also work on all bird species.
Influencing Employee Behaviors – Encourage the proper disposal of trash and food waste. Birds are attracted to leftovers and garbage. Therefore routinely maintaining and cleaning gathering areas keeps this problem to a minimum.
Insect Control – Birds love bugs! The prevention of bugs naturally leads to the prevention of birds. Maintain a toxic-free insect control plan to aid in bird repellent.
The Best Civilian Body Armor Plate Carrier You Can Buy For You and Your Family
Crime is sky-rocketing. The Police are being defunded. Criminals are not being held accountable for their actions. And it's getting more and more difficult to purchase and own a firearm for personal protection. If all that doesn't make you realize that things aren't going so well at the moment, I'm not sure what will. To get more news about bulletproof zone review, you can visit bulletproofboxs.com official website.
That said, protecting yourself and your family in today's crazy world is getting harder and harder. Body armor is a critical piece of gear for those looking for safety and protection. Sadly, in some states like New York, civilians owning body armor is now banned.
Think about this for a second. Crime is rampant and through the roof. Owning a weapon for self defense is nearly impossible; only the criminals have the guns. And now, they have made it a felony in New York for you to even slip a piece of ballistic armor in your child's backpack.
Anyhow, for those of you living in a free state which allows you to own body armor, a plate carrier is an essential must have. However, traditional plate carriers are not always the most "comfortable" or easy to get on and off. And if you've never spent any time in the military or law enforcement, working with tactical gear may be completely foreign to you.
After speaking with countless civilians about body armor, I realized that most (if not all) were simply not comfortable wearing traditional body armor plate carriers. They said they were difficult to adjust. Hard to put on. And when on, not very comfortable. Now, it's important to realize that in many of these conversations people were also keeping their wives and children in mind when it came to wearing body armor.
A situation in which you have to get body armor on your wife and kids, fast, is most likely a really bad situation to begin with. Add to that having to put heavy, uncomfortable body armor on them and trying to figure out how to adjust it in the middle of everything happening is not ideal.
So, after nearly 3 years of research, testing and development, the first ever body armor plate carrier for civilians was born: The Phantom Plate Carrier.
The Phantom Plate Carrier is like no other plate carrier in the world. In fact, at first glance, it doesn't even look like a plate carrier. However, once you put it on, you quickly realize that this is nothing like the plate carriers you see on TV and in the movies.
The patented Maxx-Dri construction makes it the lightest, most breathable plate carrier on the market. The top load pockets make dropping in body armor panels or plates a breeze. It's available in two (2) configuration depending on the size of the end user; 8X10 for smaller framed individuals and 10X12 for traditional size plates.
The best part of the Phantom Plate Carrier is how easy it is to get on and off and adjust. Unlike traditional plate carriers which you have to take off your body to adjust, The Phantom Plate Carrier adjusts and conforms perfectly to your body in less than 3 seconds. And this goes for anyone with any body type.
If you're a civilian looking for body armor protection for you and your family and traditional tactical and/or military plate carriers just seem a bit overwhelming, The 221B Phantom Plate Carrier just might be the body armor plate carrier you've been looking for.
Hovsco HovAlpha vs Himiway Cruiser - Ebike Comparison
We here at Hovsco believe the future of mobility is all about options. We take pride in providing high-quality e-bikes at an affordable price. The option may be how you get to work, exercise, adventure where you go, no matter your age or fitness level. By choosing Hovsco, you are choosing to use your hard-earned dollars in exchange for quality, affordability, and first-class customer service. There’s few things some riders have asked for more than a comparison of the Hovsco HovAlpha vs. Himiway Cruiser - two of the most popular and affordable fat-tire electric bikes. Let's have an overview about ebike parts comparison between these two ebikes. To get more news about himiway bike, you can visit magicyclebike.com official website.
HovAlpha is sure to be a powerful fat tire ebike that produce much 85 Newton meter torque, and it will help carry that power all the way to its top speed 28 mph. It’s also got a class leading range thanks to its huge 960Wh battery, which is a very cool feature. Its hydraulic disc brakes and more powerful battery 960Wh mean that HovAlpha has a better stopping power and can ride for a longer range.
A 750W geared hub motor is laced into the rear wheel of two ebikes. On the Himiway is one unbranded rear hub motors that appear very similar and on the Hovsco is a hub motor from popular manufacturer Sutto. Though similar on paper, these two motors put power to the ground in very different ways thanks to careful tuning.
The Hovsco HovAlpha also has an impressively large 48V, 20Ah (960Wh) battery that gives it a class-leading range, while the Himiway Cruiser’s 48V, 17.5Ah (840Wh) is much lower. The Hovsco and Himiway all have the typical five pedal assistance levels, which adjust power and the maximum motor assisted speed to give a rider added control over the bike’s motor. Details will be shown as below.
HovAlpha's motor has quite a more powerful motor and can travel further compared to Himiway Cruiser's. This extra capacity is made possible by using the same battery cells that Tesla is using in their latest electric vehicles. From the ground up, these cells are designed to provide a more powerful experience in a smaller space.
The simplest and most accurate way to put it is that our motors are equal. Powerful, brushless, and located in the same place on the ebike.
The Himiway Cruiser comes with a 5-speed pedal assist enabled via a cadence sensor. But HovAlpha comes with a better 85 Newton Meter torque sensor which adjusts output power optimally to achieve a highly-satisfying riding experience.
The two models have the same top speeds and pedal assist levels, giving riders a versatile riding experience and allowing them to fine-tune their pedal assist level as their desire.
The Hovsco HovAlpha sports some pretty impressive specs, with a high-powered 750-watt rear hub motor that peaks at 1032 watts. The Hovsco HovAlpha has a 20Ah battery versus the 17.5 Ah battery found on the Himiway Cruiser. The HovAlpha has a nicely integrated battery design with the battery placed directly into the frame whereas the Himiway Cruiser is using an externally mounted battery.
And though it comes out of the box hitting speeds of 20 miles per hour, it can be modified to hit 28 mph. Priced at a competitive $1,899, it’s a strong entry into the fat ebike realm, and in a slick-looking package with quality components.
The 6 best bike helmets for every cyclist in 2022
Bike helmets are an essential for any type of rider, whether that’s recreational on your suburb street, more high-gear on a mountain-bike or commuter-driven, like those Citi Bikes you see all over Manhattan. To get more news about ebike helmet, you can visit magicyclebike.com official website.
According to the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety’s 2021 report across New York City area-based data, nearly all bicycle-related deaths (97%) were boiled down to one common denominator: bicyclists were not wearing a helmet.
“Bike helmets typically are meant to provide protection from one crash,” Ken McLeod, policy director at the League of American Bicyclists, told the New York Post. “They absorb the energy of a crash and dissipate the energy through breaking apart.”
Aside from his decade-long experience working on policies to improve the safety and experience of bicycling in the U.S., McLeod is also a long-time bicycle commuter and recreational road and mountain bike rider, which is why we leaned on his expertise to help round up the 6 best bike helmets of 2022 — and what to know before buying one.
What to look for when buying a bike helmet
Though any helmet is better than no helmet, there are few key characteristics to take note of when searching for your travel essential.
“When buying a helmet, people should look for a helmet that fits, is easily adjustable, is comfortable and that they’ll [actually] wear,” McLeod shares. “The most important feature of a helmet is using it, so buying a helmet that fits you and your style is very important so that you’re more likely to use it.”
Other than that, every helmet sold in the US should meet Consumer Product Safety Commission standards, per McLeod. “You can look at Virginia Tech’s helmet ratings if you want to know more about helmets meeting even higher standards,” he adds.
Another standard to look for is the Consumer Products Safety Commission (CPSC) seal, which catalogs tested helmets that meet the following criteria:
They don’t block the riders vision (the “peripheral vision” test)
They don’t come off when the rider falls (the “positional stability” test),
The straps that hold a helmet on a rider’s head do not stretch enough to let the helmet come off in an accident (the “retention strength” test)
The helmet significantly reduces the force to the rider’s head when the helmet hits a hard surface (the “impact attenuation” test)
McLeod personally looks for helmets with MIPS technology, which stands for Multi-directional Impact Protection System. This may reduce rotational forces in a crash.
What to avoid when buying a bike helmet
“Avoid buying a helmet that does not fit, is not comfortable, or doesn’t feel like something you’ll wear,” McLeod advises. “Features that may be appropriate for one style of riding — like a chin bar — may be uncomfortable and inappropriate for other styles of riding.” It’s important to (1) think about how you’ll use the helmet and (2) buy a helmet that you’ll use.
How to check if your bike helmet fits properly
This may seem like common sense, but according to a study from Injury Prevention, individuals whose helmets didn’t fit properly had nearly a 2% increased risk of head injury compared with those whose helmets fit well.
McLeod recommends following the 2-2-2 method to check helmet fit. “The 2-2-2 method checks fit by checking that two fingers fit between your eyebrows and the helmet, that the helmet straps go around your ears in a ‘V’ that is formed by your pointer and middle fingers, and that two fingers fit between the helmet strap and your neck,” he explains.
EUNORAU launches an all-terrain powerful fat-tire eBike
The American electric mobility company EUNORAU has launched a new monster model called DEFENDER S. It is an all-terrain powerful fat tire ebike, which is designed with dual-battery and dual-motor configurations. To get more news about electric bikes for adults, you can visit magicyclebike.com official website.
It is basically an “all-wheel drive” electric mountain bike. The EUNORAU e-bike is in fact powered by two electric motors made by the Chinese Bafang, both inserted, respectively, in the hub of the front wheel and in that of the rear wheel, although the classic frame of an e-bike provides for the insertion of the engine in special housing in the central compartment. Each of the motors has an output of 750 watts (48 volts) for a total of 1,500 watts in the case of the DEFENDER S Pro version.
The standard DEFENDER S comes with a single 750-W Bafang rear-hub motor and is likely the most versatile of the two versions available. The maximum speed it can reach is 35 mph (56 km/h).
The Lithium-Ion Samsung is provided in the option units from 672 Wh or 816 Wh. But those who wish can mount a second 816 Wh battery on the down tube, thus reaching a total of 1,632 Wh. The dual configuration promises up to 80 miles (128 km) per charge. Both batteries can be removed for charging, which takes 4-6 hours. The gearbox is a 9-speed Shimano Alivia.
The frame is made of Alloy 6061 aluminum alloy. The fork is from RST; it is a low-end model GUIDE with a 75 mm stroke. The damper is again from DNM Suspension, has a 165 mm stroke.
EUNORAU DEFENDER S and DEFENDER S Pro are available for delivery worldwide. The basic version with a single rear hub motor starts at $1,799 through an Indiegogo campaign, while the dual-motor Pro monster is listed at $1,999.

Seal Ductwork with Mastic and Mesh Tape
Leaks in the heating and cooling duct systems can be frustrating for homeowners who were hoping to have a tight, energy-efficient home. If the ductwork for the home's environmental conditioning system is installed improperly, or if aftermarket products such as whole-home air filters have been improperly installed, it can greatly reduce energy efficiency. Leaky ductwork is a serious defect that can increase the homeowner's energy costs and reduce long-term customer satisfaction. To get more news about Mastic Tape, you can visit senpinghz.com official website.
When the home's duct system isn't properly sealed, carbon monoxide and other toxic fumes that are byproducts of natural gas appliances can build up in the home and create an unhealthy and potentially lethal living environment. Another problem occurs when noxious fumes from common household items, such as cleaners, solvents, fertilizers and paints, are drawn into the home's return system through poorly sealed joints. Once these smelly and potentially dangerous fumes are drawn into the duct system, they can be circulated and recirculated through the home.
While most builders understand the importance of properly installing the duct system, the actual work is done by the HVAC contractor. To make sure that all ducts are properly sealed and that the home will perform at optimum efficiency, it's up to the builder to closely and critically inspect the duct installation. The best practice for ensuring energy efficiency is to apply UL 181-rated mastic and mesh tape to each and every joint in the ductwork.
Mastic is a gummy substance that has been used since the Roman era, but only recently was modified for residential construction purposes. There are several kinds of mastic available today, both water-based and solvent-based. Although each works well, water-based mastics tend to release fewer fumes, which can be helpful when working in tightly confined spaces. Look for mastics with a low flame spread and smoke-developed rating. For most jobs, builders will want to make sure that the mastic they use is UL 181-rated. UL 181-rated mastic is proven to be more flexible, adhere better to ducts, and last longer than other mastics.
Make sure the joint area has been wiped clean to remove particles and dust before applying mastic. If the joint isn't clean, the mastic won't create a tight seal.
Apply enough mastic to form a continuous coating on the surface of the duct. Use a brush, trowel, gloved hand or caulking gun to apply the mastic. A cheap paintbrush can work well, but many people find it faster and easier to simply use their hands to scoop out mastic. If the trade contractor prefers this method, make sure that they're wearing heavy rubber gloves that won't tear if pressed against a sharp edge of sheet metal duct.
Work the mastic into the joint or crack and press lightly to get an even coating. There should be at least a 1/2-inch overlap around any joint, crack, or hole in the duct.
Use a mesh tape to reinforce the mastic coating on areas where there's a gap of 1/4 inch or more. This is especially important if the area being sealed is a joint that will be under stress. It's always important to make sure the tape used for sealing the joints is designed specifically for mastic being applied.
Duct tape shouldn't be used to seal ducts. Over time, the conventional tape will dry, crack and eventually give way to costly air leaks. Because many of the joints in a home's HVAC system are inaccessible after the insulation and drywall are installed, repairing a leaky duct system can be difficult and expensive.
By making sure that the HVAC contractor properly applies mastic and UL-181 rated tape to every joint in the home's duct system, builders can greatly improve the energy efficiency of the home and help ensure the future health and safety of their customers.
Community raises money to purchase bulletproof helmets
In response to national incidents of officers being targeted by gunmen, a borough business owner has raised thousands to equip the Rutherford Police Department with bulletproof helmets.Michelle Izquierdo, co-owner of Mason’s Cellar on Park Avenue, started a GoFundMe and in-store fundraiser. She set a goal of $5,000, and so far has collected just over half.To get more news about bulletproof zone review, you can visit bulletproofboxs.com official website.
“With the increasing number of active-shooter incidents across the country this year, law enforcement experts are recommending that police departments nationwide purchase bulletproof tactical helmets for their officers,” Izquierdo said. “These helmets have been proven to be lifesaving in situations like the Orlando nightclub shooting, during which an officer was shot in the head but survived thanks to his tactical headgear.”
Mason’s Cellar has purchased five helmets so far from money raised at its Labor Day Street Fair proceeds. Izquierdo hopes to provide a helmet for each of Rutherford’s 15 patrol cars in its rotation. The helmets cost about $500 each.
The RPD just received another $1,000 from Ben and Penny Wilson.
Last summer, representatives of the national Fraternal Order of Police and union leaders in cities like Los Angeles and Houston called for patrols cars to outfitted with ballistic helmets, in addition to other military-style gear like heavier vests worn over bulletproof vests and rifles.Nearby Newark has a trained police SWAT team which utilizes similar headgear, and New York City officers are scheduled to receive new helmets late this year.
The Rutherford mayor and council accepted the first $3,100 donation from Mason's at the Dec. 12 council meeting.
Chief John Russo said the donation came as a surprise.“They have children and grandchildren in the schools, which is where we have really enhanced training,” Russo said. “They came to me and asked what they could do to help make us safer.”
“We are very appreciative,” he said. “With the initial donations and with what has been generated so far, we are looking to make the purchase of 16 helmets.”Russo said the next purchase for his department would be panels that can go over existing bulletproof vests, which serve to protect against high-velocity rifle rounds.
“I think with the training provided by the borough, and up-to-date weapons and body armor, and now with these helmets, we stand a good chance if — God forbid — something were to happen. We could get in there and bring a situation to an end, safely and quickly.”

If you buy one road bike helmet, buy this. Here at Cycling Weekly we get to test lots of different helmets across lots of different categories, but if we had to pick just one, this would be our absolute favourite road bike helmet.
An absolute favourite road bike helmet for us is the Giro Aether MIPS. On test we called it a game-changer of a road bike helmet due to its unrivalled all-around performance.
During the review period, we found this helmet to be exceptional in its ventilation ability and at the cutting edge for safety features. While there are slightly lighter helmets, such as the Kask Protone helmet, it was still an impressively low weight at just 269g (for a size small).
The Aether features the gold standard MIPS Spherical technology, which sits between the two shells to make the added safety feature a really comfortable option. Teaming this with the added reinforcement construction gives the rider lots of reassurance on how safe and strong this helmet really is.
We highly rated the Lazer Blade helmet when we saw the non-MIPS version, so this new safety feature update is music to our ears.
While it does push the price up a little, this is still a really great price for head protection with what is considered the gold standard of safety features.
Good enough looks wise to compete with helmets much higher up the food chain, as well as providing great ventilation means that this is a great road bike helmet for anyone wanting a more affordable all rounder. Testing it back to back with the more expensive Kask Mojito helmet, we found very little to choose between them.
Weighing just an incredibly 220g/ 7.7oz for a size medium, the Kask Protone helmet offers, according to the brand, one of the lowest drag and fastest heat dissipation options on the market.
We found the Protone to be one of the most comfortable helmets we'd ever tested, and indeed one of the lightest, beating the Giro Synthe by 20g (0.7oz).
