We know we have work in order to earn back the community's trust

However an incredibly vocal section from Activision, Blizzard, and King employees, which is known as the ABK Workers WOTLK Gold Alliance, has not yet had all of its demands for a better work environment fulfilled by the company's leadership. They want an end to forced arbitration, the implementation of inclusive hiring and recruitment practices, increased transparency of pay by utilizing compensation metrics, and an audit of corporate policies that is to be handled by a neutral third-party.

"We know we have work in order to earn back the community's trust. We as a leader group within Blizzard have work to do to regain confidence in our team, as well as our employee's trust." -- WoW game director Ion Hazzikostas

Certain of these demands are now, after months of silence being recognized by management. In a letter to Activision Blizzard CEO Bobby Kotick published online ahead of the company's November 2 investor call, Kotick said the company will soon adopt the "strictest laws against harassment and retaliation of any company." He also pledged that the company will increase the proportion of female and people who are non-binary by 50%. He also said the company will be the investment of $250 million "to enhance opportunities for diversity talent." Kotick also pledged to stop the practice of forced arbitration in claims of discrimination and harassment. Pay transparency is on the way too and Kotick saying that the company would disclose pay equity information every year.

The changes described above are positive steps towards the correct direction and do look to at least partially meet employee demands. Other actions that the company has taken go against what is required by workers' unions such as the ABK Workers Alliance. Activision Blizzard did select a third-party to conduct an audit of the company's policies, however it is important to note that, as an official from the ABK Workers Alliance has pointed out that the law firm in question, WilmerHale, has a already-established relationship with certain Activision Blizzard executives and is known to have used methods of preventing unions from cheap WOTLK Classic Gold being employed by firms like Amazon and Uber in the past.
