Spandex fabrics can be divided into warp stretch fabrics, weft stretch fabrics,and warp and weft two-way stretch fabrics (also called four-way stretch) according to the needs of the use.

The four-sided elastic fabric has elasticity in the weft and warp directions.Compare with other fabric, weft-knitted 4 way stretch fabric has good elasticity and soft hand feeling.

The general weight of 4 way stretch fabric is from 120gsm to 260gsm, and the width ranges is from 140cm to 150cm. Below 180gsm fabrics are mostly four-sided stretch mesh fabrics, while above 220 GSM, mostly fabrics are stretch tricot fabrics. Of course, the ratio of spandex components will also affect the weight. Generally, the better the elasticity, the higher the weight.

Among them, polyester four-sided stretch fabric is suitable for printing processing, such as swimsuits, sportswear, etc. but nylon four-sided stretch fabrics have a better comfort feeling, so nylon-spandex four-sided stretch fabrics are mostly used for plain-colored products such as underwear, dress, inner linings of the garment. The conventional component ratios are from low to high according to the elasticity, mostly 92/8, 88/12, or 90/10, 80/20.
