Week 2 certainly had its share of exciting games, starting with the ' thrilling comeback over the and the ' overtime victory over the . The late-afternoon slate had some cla sic comebacks, too, as the rallied from 21 points down to beat the -- tying the largest comeback in franchise history. The had a thrilling 18-point comeback over the -- the largest comeback for the franchise since 2015.With another exciting slate of Sunday afternoon games in the books, it's time to dive into some more overreactions after Week 2. Which of these statements are overreactions and which are reality?Overreaction or reality: RealityWilson was horrible in his first start filling in for , going 12 of 27 for 170 yards with one touchdown and three interceptions (38.1 rating)  Manu Ginobili Jersey -- which is actually over par for his standards. Wilson was 7 of 17 for 76 yards and three interceptions (15.4 rating) in the second half. The Jets scored 10 points in a blowout lo s to the . They can't continue moving forward with Wilson behind that offensive line, no matter how hard Robert Saleh tries. Sure Wilson knows the system, but he hasn't been good in said system.  If New York wants to have a shot at the playoffs, it needs to find someone better than Wilson. That may be any quarterback at this stage.Overreaction or reality:RealityThree teams are 2-0 and the fourth is 1-1. The haven't looked great in their 2-0 start, yet they remained unscathed after playing two games in five days. The Dallas Cowboys have looked like the best team in football, outscoring opponents 70-10 after two games. The New York Giants and Washington Commanders comebacks showcased the power of the NFC East. The Giants were outscored 60-0 after six quarters, yet still scored 31 points in the second half to come back and earn a win in Arizona. The Commanders were down 21-3 to the Denver Broncos, yet still rallied to score 35 points (the first time they scored 30-plus points in two years).  The Eagles and Cowboys are two of the best teams in the and the Commanders are better. The jury is still out on the Giants. This division may get three teams in the playoffs again.Overreaction or reality:OverreactionThe start of the season for the doesn't look great, especially at 0-2 with at quarterback. Los Angeles has scored 50 points and committed no turnovers through two games -- yet are the only team in NFL history to start 0-2 while accomplishing that feat. The Chargers have two lo ses by a combined five points, allowing 30.5 points per game in those lo ses. Keep in mind Staley is a defensive coach. Los Angeles still has an opportunity to turn things around (Minnesota and Las Vegas are the next two games), but he Chargers do LaMarcus Aldridge Jersey  have a brutal schedule.  Too soon to believe Staley will get fired through two games, but another lo s next week will make a warm seat hot.Overreaction or reality:RealityBarkley is the cog in the offense that makes the Giants go, specifically . With Barkley on the field in the second-half comeback, Jones completed 17 of 21 pa ses for 259 yards with two pa s touchdowns while rushing for 58 yards and a touchdown. Jones became just the second player in NFL history with 250 pa sing yards, 50 rushing yards, two pa sing touchdowns, and a rushing touchdown in a half.Barkley's injury is severe enough he won't discu s it, it's a sprained Tim Duncan Jersey  ankle. We'll see how long Barkley is out, but the Giants need him if they want to go to the playoffs. Jones can't be the quarterback the Giants want him to be without Barkley on the field.  Overreaction or reality:RealityThe Falcons took Robinson at No. 8 overall in the draft, putting him behind a dominant run-blocking offensive line. Arthur Smith certainly used Robinson to his full advantage in Sunday's win over the Green Bay Packers, as Robinson had 172 yards of offense (and his first 100-yard rushing game), leading the Falcons to a thrilling fourth-quarter comeback over the Green Bay Packers.Robinson is already second in the NFL in rushing yards (180) and fourth in the NFL in yards from scrimmage (255) after the Sunday afternoon games. He's already averaging 6.2 yards per carry and showcased his game-changing ability on offense with his ability to make big plays on crucial downs.Through two weeks, Robinson is already a top-five running back.Overreaction or reality:RealityBrown's impact has been felt in the first two games of the season on the offensive line. has allowed Bryn Forbes Jersey  just one pre sure in 88 pa s-blocking snaps through two games, but had five penalties in Sunday's win over the (he got flagged twice for false starts, and twice for holding, and one for illegal formation). The Chiefs actually sat him for a bit after the fourth penalty.   has allowed seven pre sures through two games and three quarterback hits, with a pre sure rate allowed of 7.8%. Those numbers aren't good, as the only reason Smith hasn't allowed a sack is because gets rid of the football quickly. The Chiefs have a tackle problem. Brown wasn't perfect, but he was rock solid on that offensive line for several years.Overreaction or reality:OverreactionTwo games into his NFL career and Richardson had to leave both of them with different injuries. Richardson wasn't on the injury report heading into Week 2, but left Sunday's win over the with a concu sion in the second quarter. This comes a week after he left late in the fourth quarter due to knee sorene s.  Richardson's early track record of finishing a game isn't good, so maybe he should sit a week even if he's cleared to play next week? Long term, that would be beneficial for the Colts since Richardson is their franchise quarterback. That would give Richardson an extra week to heal up.Thanks to (19 of 23, 171 yards, TD, 0 INT), the Colts could afford to rest and protect Richardson if they want to. They likely won't do it, but it may be beneficial for Richardson to get through his rookie season. If Richardson is good to go, he will play.Overreaction or reality:OverreactionMayfield has been impre sive through two games, completing 69.1% of his pa ses 490 yards with three touchdowns and zero interceptions through two games (104.4 rating). Mayfield has been protected (only sacked once) and hasn't fumbled, so no turnovers through two games.  The Buccaneers are 2-0 as a result of Mayfield's good decision-making when not being pre sured. He's also getting the ball to , who has 12 catches for 237 yards and two touchdowns (19.8 yards per catch) through two games. The Buccaneers are doing enough on offense to match their very good defense. Are they the best in the NFC South? The haven't played their second game yet and the Falcons have grinded out two good wins, so it's too early to make that claim. If Mayfield keeps playing mistake-free football, Tampa Bay will be a threat to win the division and make the  Keldon Johnson Jersey playoffs.Through two games, the Buccaneers certainly look like a playoff team -- no matter who they've faced so far.

The will have a key part of their offense back when they return from their Week 6 bye. The former Pro Bowl wideout said that he Eric Gordon Jersey  will be back in uniform when the Steelers face the in Los Angles in Week 7.Johnson hasn't played since being placed on injured reserve after injuring his hamstring during Pittsburgh's Week 1 lo s to San Francisco."Hell yeah I'm coming back," Johnson said when asked of his post bye availability, . "I've been working my behind off these last three, four weeks. Today was one of those days to see how far I've come alone. Everything looked great out there. I felt  Carmelo Anthony Jersey completely great and healthy. I'm ready for Monday when we come back to start getting back to work."    P.J. Tucker Jersey             PIT  WR  #18  TAR6REC3REC YDs48REC TD0FL0 Johnson's return should be a big boost for an offense that is in need of one. Through five games, the Steelers' offense has scored just five touchdowns. Johnson's presence should especially help the Steelers in the red zone as they are currently last in the in red zone efficiency.Despite the offense's struggles, the Steelers are currently 3-2 and atop the AFC North division standings. A major reason why has been the play of outside linebackers and Russell Westbrook Jersey  . The duo has combined for 10 sacks, four forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries so far. Both players scored touchdowns during Pittsburgh's Week 2 win over the .  A 2019 third-round pick, Johnson leads the Steelers in catches, yards, and touchdown receptions since coming to Pittsburgh. He was named to his first Pro Bowl in 2021 after catching 107 pa ses for 1,161 yards during final season under center. While his Ralph Sampson Jersey  numbers weren't as good last season, Johnson still led the Steelers in catches and receiving yards while helping Pittsburgh finish with a 9-8 record.

We were starting to see collective improvement from the first and second year quarterbacks, until Week 12 hit. had an off day, wasn't the reason the throttled the , and struggled, and threw three interceptions. and stood out. They had solid performances in convincing wins. There were seven quarterbacks selected in the past twocla ses that saw considerable playing time -- more than 10 pa s attempts -- in Week 12.Let's dive deep into the individual efforts of each quarterback and a sign a grade on a per-snap basis, taking every individual aspect of their performance into account.               LAC  QB  #10  CMP%66.0YDs3230TD24INT10YD/Att7.37 Best Throws:Early in the second, Herbert connected with on a 24-yard out route.Herbert fired a pa s down the sideline to for 13 yards right before made contact with the tight end.Late in the second quarter, Herbert was forced to his left, stopped, then threw all the way acro s the field to for 15 yards. The pa s took a ton of arm strength.Worst Throws:Midway  Russell Wilson Jersey through the second, he threw to a covered Allen on a slant that was knocked away.On his next drop back, he misfired on a check down.In the second, he held the ball way too long and took a bad sack for a lo s of eight yards.Herbert stepped into the pocket and put the ball in a precarious spot when he tried to fit the ball between two defenders but was knocked away.Under pre sure a few plays later, Herbert threw a check down at the feet of his receiver.Early in the fourth, he woefully underthrew a pa s to in the end zone that was easily picked by Patrick Surtain who was sitting underneath the route. The second interception was a tipped ball but should not have thrown the short to s behind an open Cook.In the fourth, Herbert forced an in-breaker that was knocked away and could've been picked. He also mi sed Josh Kelley over the middle on an angle route out of the backfield.Summary:Herbert was simply off against the Broncos, although his offensive line did him no favors. There weren't nearly as many wow throws as normal, more dangerous decisions, and misfires than normal.Grade: D+Season Grade: B-             PHI  QB  #1  CMP%60.1YDs2435TD13INT8YD/Att6.94 Best Throws:Midway through the first, Hurts fired an on-target dig to that purposely did not lead him into contact.Late in the second, Hurts threw a nice back shoulder to for 21 yards against tight coverage. The throw was a bit ill-advised, as the corner didn't bite on the double move but the throw was perfect. In the third, he had a nifty 13-yard scramble, weaving his way through a bunch of defenders. With a minute to go in the fourth, Hurts heaved a deep shot to Reagor that was placed perfectly but broken up at the last second. If caught, it would've given the the lead after the extra point. On his last throw of the game, Hurts bought time and gave Reagor a chance to move the chains or potentially scoring the game-winning touchdown (pending the extra point), but the back Nazair Jones Jersey -shoulder attempt was dropped.WorstThrows:Hurts' first interception may have been a miscommunication on a deep dig to but the throw appeared to be a little too far out in front of the intended target. His second pick was a horrible decision with eight seconds remaining in the half inside the five yard line. Instead of throwing it away after being flushed from the pocket to take the field goal, he forced a pa s that fell right into the arms of .Hurts' third pick was another bad choice, this time from in the pocket. He did not locate the safety who easily ranged toward the sideline to snag the long ball.Late in the fourth, he hit Reagor on an in-breaker for 10 yards but the ball was thrown behind the wideout. With under a minute to go, Hurts was late on a throw over the middle to Reagor that should've been intercepted to end the game.Summary:I've seen Hurts play better this season, a handful of times. His accuracy was wayward, he didn't make much of an impact as a runner, and the interceptions were rather ugly. He almost salvaged the win late with two deep attempts to Reagor, but there was a dropped pick included too.Grade: D+Season Grade: B-             CIN  QB  #9  CMP%68.3YDs2645TD21INT11YD/Att8.4 Best throws:Burrow's eight-yard touchdown run featured an efficient spin out of the pocket and juke near the goal line.Late in the first, Burrow fit a pa s to on a dig route between a plethora of defender for 16 yards. In the second, Burrow threw a well-placed deep ball to Higgins for a 32-yard score down the right sideline.Midway through the second, Burrow ripped a deep out to Higgins for 16 yards that had to be made with anticipation. On his last drop back of the game, Burrow rolled left and hit Higgins in stride running in that direction for 19 yards.Worst throws:From the Steelers one yard-line, Burrow took a bad sack, reversing his field before getting taken to the turf for a 12-yard lo s.Late in the second, Burrow lofted another deep shot to Higgins down the right sideline, but he failed to locate ranging toward the football, and it was a rather easy pick.In the third, Burrow tried a quick screen out wide to but threw it directly to . Fortunately for the , Highsmith bobbled the ball and it was actually caught by Mixon behind the line.Summary:The Bengals dominated from the jump in this game against Pittsburgh, so a lower volume outing for Burrow. But it did feature a nice collection of impre sive throws from the second-year signal caller. As usual, he had a long-ball strike for a score and made a sertive and accurate to ses at the intermediate level. There were a few bad decisions too.  Grade: BSeason Grade: B-              Rasheem Green Jersey NE  QB  #10  CMP%70.3YDs2850TD16INT8YD/Att7.48 Best Throws:The touchdown to was thrown with solid touch up and over but not too far out in front of the receiver that it carried him out of bounds near the back right pylon. In the second, Jones just had enough velocity to fit the ball into on a deep post from the slot.In the fourth, he threw with pinpoint accuracy on an out-route to Henry Henry for seven yards with a defender on his back..Worst Throws:Jones' first throw of the game was high and outside on a target to Henry.Midway through the second, Jones threw low and away on an end zone target to Henry.Late in the second quarter, Jones airmailed a target to Meyers deep down the field.A few plays later, he mi sed Henry down the field wide open for what would've been a touchdown. The pa s was overthrown. In the third, he tried a quick out route to that was simply not there and should've been an interception -- potentially a pick six -- but was dropped.Summary:Jones certainly knows where to go with the football in this Patriots offense. But the difficult throws were not there against the Titans, and there were plenty more mi ses than usual for the rookie pa ser.Grade: D+Season Grade: C+             MIA  QB  #1  CMP%68.0YDs1471TD9INT6YD/Att7.25 Best Throws:Early in the game, Tagovailoa was hit almost immediately after a play-action fake but somehow got the ball out into the flat. His nine-yard touchdown to was thrown with good velocity and ball placement right after the goal line. The 57-yard gain by Waddle was mostly yards after the catch, but Tagovailoa hit the in-breaking route with a good anticipation throw.Midway through the third, Tagovailoa fit one into Waddle on an out-breaker against tight coverage for 11 yards.Worst Throws:In the second quarter, he airmailed a throw into the flat to while feeling some pre sure. His last throw of the game was low on a back-shoulder attempt into the end zone.Summary:Tagovailoa was still operating an extremely screen, quick slant system in Week 12 Jamar Taylor Jersey , but the off-target throws weren't as prevalent as they were earlier in the season. He definitely looks pretty comfortable running the quick-game offense.Grade: B-Season Grade: C+             JAC  QB  #16  CMP%58.0YDs2369TD9INT10YD/Att5.95 BestThrows:At the two-minute mark of the second quarter, Lawrence fired a laser to -- who made a spectacular catch -- through tight coverage. In the third, he ripped a vertical throw down the numbers just past a diving underneath defender for 21 yards.Lawrence's seven-yard touchdown to in the back of the end zone was a pinpoint rocket.WorstThrows:In the second, he overthrew a long ball to Marvin Jones that was picked by , who ranged from the deep middle.Late in the second, he held the ball far too long and fumbled while taking a sack. With under a minute to go in the half, Lawrence looked antsy on a to s to his tight end that sailed two yards over his head.In the fourth, Lawrence overthrew in the end zone.He mi sed a dump off over the middle to .With under two minutes to play, Lawrence was a tick late on a throw at the intermediate level over the middle that was ultimately behind its intended target. On his last throw of the game, Lawrence didn't have enough velocity on a deep comeback run by Laviska Shenault that fell incomplete.Summary:This was what has become the typical Lawrence game in his rookie season -- a few flashes of his immense arm talent outweighed by mi ses and poor decisions. Grade: D+Season Grade: C               NYJ  QB  #2  CMP%57.6YDs1313TD4INT10YD/Att6.4 BestThrows:In the third, Wilson rolled left and threw a pa s over underneath defenders into the end zone that should've been caught by but was dropped.Midway through the fourth, Wilson ripped a fastball over the middle through traffic for 13 yards to .WorstThrows:Early in the second, Wilson misfired on an easy throw into the flat to his running back.On his next drop back, he threw inaccurately on what should've been an easy completion on a cro ser to and open .Late in the second, Wilson led too far, which led to the receiver hitting hit and the pa s falling incomplete.Early in the fourth, he airmailed a swing pa s to his running back.Summary:Not the best return from injury for Wilson. The have uncertainty at wide receiver, yet could move one of the players from the Dave Gettleman regime as they attempt to retool their roster. New York has received trade inquiries about, , as the 2019 fifth-round pick is on the roster bubble in what previously appeared to be a Solomon Hill Jersey  crowded room.Slayton has been productive in his short career, having 124 catches for 1,830 yards and 13 touchdowns in three seasons. He broke onto the scene as a deep-ball specialist, catching 48 pa ses for 740 yards and eight touchdowns in 2019 -- averaging 15.4 yards per catch. He followed up his rookie campaign with 50 catches for 751 yards and three touchdowns (15.0 yards per catch) in 2020, but those numbers severely dipped to 26 catches for 339 yards and two touchdowns (13.0  Killian Tillie Jersey yards per catch) in a diminished role last season.             NYG  WR  #86  TAR58REC26REC YDs339REC TD2FL1 Battling and for a roster spot, Slayton is in the final year of his rookie deal and has a $2,598,721 cap hit. The Giants would save $2.54 million in cap space if they were to release Slayton, and it wouldn't surprise him if they did just that."I don't think I would be surprised now," Josh Jackson Jersey  Slayton said after Sunday's preseason finale. "It's kind of like my fourth time doing this. I don't know. I don't really stre s about it too much. At the end of the day, if it's meant for me to be here, I'll be here. If it's not, I won't."  The Giants have and his hefty cap hit on the roster, while will open the year on the PUP list, and working his way back from a leg injury Kyle Anderson Jersey  that has sidelined him for most of camp. Sills and Bachman look to have the upper head on two wide receiver spots, leaving Slayton vulnerable for a trade. The Giants don't have to move on from Slayton, who has just one catch for 17 yards this preseason but has led the team in receiving yards two of the past three seasons. They seem to be open for busine Grayson Allen Jersey  s on improving the roster, so making the initial 53-man roster doesn't mean a job with the team is secure.  "We're open to improving our team in any way we can," Giants head coach Brian Daboll said, . "(Joe) Schoen is open for busine s."

For the first time implemented in 2022, a went into overtime. The and were all tied up at 19 a piece at the end of regulation and needed extra time to decide who would win Super Bowl LVIII. Overtime rules have been debated, caused controversy and been changed over the years, so fans were given a refresher before  Kevin Zeitler Jersey the free football took place. As it turns out, some players were also in need of a rule explanation.Multiple 49ers players admitted that they did not know the overtime protocol and a sumed it was the same as the regular season, where a touchdown wins the game, even if the other team hasn't had po se sion.In the playoffs and the Super Bowl, both offenses get a chance to have the ball and if the game is still tied after both teams have a po se sion, it then goes into sudden death, unle s the first drive of the game is a safety, which ends the contest. The 49ers won the coin to s ahead of the second overtime in Super Bowl history and elected to  Julian Love Jersey receive the ball. Many have criticized head coach Kyle Shanahan's decision, but he says  if things were tied up after each team had the ball. Some of his players thought the reasoning for taking the ball was because a touchdown wins the game, as it does in the regular season. They were surprised to find out that was not the case.  "I didn't even know about the new playoff overtime rule, so it was a surprise to me," San Francisco defensive lineman said after the lo s. "I didn't even really know what was going on in terms of that."  The new NFL playoff overtime rules were a surprise to Armstead   49ers on NBCS (@NBCS49ers)  Armstead said he learned the rules when they were put on the Jumbotron at Allegiant Stadium.Niners fullback said the team had not rehearsed an overtime situation.  "You know what? I didn't even realize the playoff rules were different in overtime," Juszczyk said. "I a sumed you just want the ball to score a touchdown and win. I gue s that's not the case. I don't totally know the strategy there ... We hadn't talked about it, no."  Here's FB Kyle  New York Giants Jersey Juszczyk admitting he wasn't aware of the new overtime rules:"I a sumed you just want the ball because you score a touchdown and win."  Ari Meirov (@MySportsUpdate)  Shanahan said he discu sed a potential overtime with the analytics staff, but it seems those talks did not make their way to all the players.Even if a touchdown would end the game, the 49ers did not do enough to get in the end zone of their first and only drive of OT. The drive ended Saquon Barkley Jersey  with a 27-yard field goal from , to put the 49ers up 22-19. The field goal meant a touchdown from quarterback and the Chiefs offense would be a win for Kansas City.  In important scenarios, Mahomes is typically clutch, and Sunday night was no exception. scored a touchdown on the Chiefs drive to give the team their second Super Bowl in two years.Chiefs players also seemed to be well versed on the rules, which was very different than what was going on on the other sideline. Kansas City safety said the team began going over the new overtime rules back in training camp, .Defensive lineman said the team had a plan in place if the game warranted more time. "We talked through this for two weeks, Jones said. "How we was going to give the ball to the opponent; if they scored, we was going for two at the end of the game. We rehearsed it."  Below is a full look at the NFL overtime rules:The captain who lost the first overtime coin to s will either choose to po se s the ball or select which goal his team will defend, unle s the team that won the coin to s deferred that choice. Each team will have an opportunity to po se s the ball in overtime. Each team gets three timeouts during a half. The same timing rules that apply at the end of the second and fourth regulation periods also apply at the end of a second or fourth overtime period. If there is still no winner at the  Janoris Jenkins Jersey end of a fourth overtime period, there will be another coin to s, and play will continue until a winner is declared.

Now one of the most succe sful coordinators in history, defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo has won four Super Bowls coaching that position -- one with the and three in the last Zach Ertz Jersey  five years with Kansas City. And this season, his Chiefs team had their best defense yet. The unit finished the season ranked second in both yards and points allowed, eighth in FTN's defensive DVOA, and fifth in Tru Media's version of EPA/play. The Chiefs defense went on to hold the , , and -- all potent offenses -- to an average of just 15.8 points per game during the playoffs. And yet, Spags was not interviewed for any of the available head-coaching jobs. Still, he is holding out hope that he will get another Nate Gerry Jersey  shot, and wants to prove himself capable of handling the role."Yeah. I do feel that way. I'll answer the same way I always do. We're prideful men in this busine s. We want to win and we want to show that we're capable of doing things. And so, I'm no different than a player. Would I love to do it? Yes. However, I always fall back on this and I follow up with it: If that never happens, I'm OK with it," Spagnuolo said.  "I put these things in God's hands. If it's his will to lead another team and young men, and mentor, and teach -- which is what coaching is all about -- then I'll walk right in it, full bore. If not, I'm so ble sed to have this job I have, to work with the guys I work with. Andy Reid Harold Carmichael Jersey , I mean, come on. You've got to be kidding me. So, I don't lose sleep over it, but the answer to the question would be, 'Yes, I would.' But if it never happens, I'm OK."Here's the full video clip, courtesy of The Season with Peter Schrager:  Despite coaching the youngest unit in the NFL, DC Steve Spagnuolo had the # 2 ranked D in the league. How many HC interviews did he get this year? 0. Would he even want an HC gig? I asked the only  Paul Worrilow Jersey man in history to win 4 rings as a coordinator. In a word Yes  Peter Schrager (@PSchrags)  Spagnuolo previously had a chance to be a head coach, taking over the St. Louis after his stint as DC with the Giants. The Rams went just 10-38 in his three-year tenure, though, and Spagnuolo was fired. He went back to being a defensive coordinator after that, spending a year with the and three more with New York before taking over as the Giants' interim coach for four games in 2017. He was out of the league for the 2018 season and has been in Kansas City since replacing Bob Sutton as the Chiefs' defensive coordinator in 2019.  It would be a bit unusual for him to get another shot in the  Clayton Thorson Jersey future considering he will be 65 years old next offseason, but it's not out of the question -- especially if the Chiefs have another strong defensive season. Five of the eight head coaches hired this offseason were defensive-leaning coaches, but 53-year-old Dan Quinn was the oldest of the bunch. Sixty-year-old Jim Harbaugh (an offensive coach) landed the job, though he was more succe sful in his first head-coaching stint than Spagnuolo was, and was coming off a national championship season at the University of Michigan.

NFL teams were acting as if money was burning a hole in their pockets when the free agent signing period opened on March 16 thanks to the salary cap increasing by 14.1% to $208.2 million. The NFL's financial landscape was changed with landmark contracts by and . The went on a spending spree, as seven players were quickly signed to contracts totaling $259.5 million with $155.25 million in guarantees. The upper part of the wide receiver market has gone haywire. There were four $20 million per year wide receivers when the offseason began. The number has doubled to eight despite the releasing .Details on 20 noteworthy multi-year deals from the early part of the NFL offseason are below. Average yearly salary and total compensation are the most common contract metrics but also the most insignificant because of the lack of security with NFL contracts. The overall contract guarantees, amount fully guaranteed at signing, first three years compensation (when applicable) and the earliest realistic contract exit point for the team are also highlighted with each player.             CLE  QB  #4  Contract value: $230 million/5 years ($46 million per year average)Contract guarantees: $230 millionFully guaranteed at signing: $230 millionThree-year cash flow: $138 millionEarliest realistic exit point: NoneNobody expected Watson to get a fully guaranteed five-year, $230 million contract in connection with his trade from the to the , especially considering the sexual a sault and misconduct allegations he's still facing. Watson had four years worth $136 million remaining on the four-year contract extension averaging $39 million per year he signed in September 2020. He has the type of guaranteed money typically reserved for the most lucrative NBA contracts. For example, the four-year extension Warriors All-NBA guard Steph Curry signed last August that begins next season is for a fully guaranteed $215,353,662. The five years  Saben Lee Jersey (including the 2021-22 season) that Curry is currently under contract total a fully guaranteed $261,134,628.Watson's deal is potentially the most significant NFL transaction during the salary cap era, which began in 1994. owner Steve Bisciotti acknowledged at the NFL annual league meetings that . It remains to be seen whether Watson will be the catalyst for fully guaranteed contracts becoming the norm in the NFL (at least for quarterbacks), like in the MLB and the NBA.               NYJ  QB  #8  Contract value: $186.765 million/5 years ($37.353 million per year average)Contract guarantees: $150.665 million ($40.8 million as fully guaranteed roster bonus)Fully guaranteed at signing: $101.515 millionThree year-cash flow: $150.815 millionEarliest realistic exit point: 2025 ($150.815 million earned)Once Rodgers, who was entering a contract year, decided he wanted to remain with the rather than try to force a trade, he became the NFL's first $50 million per year player. His new contract is widely considered to be $150.815 million over three years, although there are two additional below-market years in the deal. Should Rodgers decide to keep playing football in 2025 when he is 41, a new contract will surely be negotiated to replace the artificially low $20.9 million and $15.05 million compensation of the 2025 and 2026 contract years, which are considered placeholder salaries. Rodgers established new standards for guaranteed money in football contracts with $150.665 million in total guarantees and $101.515 million fully guaranteed -- until Watson's deal shattered those marks.Profe sionals within the industry (agents and team negotiators) typically value deals by new money, which is the amount of compensation in a contract excluding what a player was scheduled to make before receiving a new deal. Rodgers' contract will be an exception since the new money average is $61,922,206 per year if considered a two-year extension. The placeholder salaries give Rodgers the ability to say he signed a contract averaging $37.353 million per yearor a four-year extension averaging $39,948,603 per year. The contract contains two option bonuses ($58.3 million in 2023 and $47 million in 2024). The double option bonus contract structure is seldom used by NFL teams. Most notably, the five-year, $125 million extension defensive end signed with the Browns in 2020, which made him the NFL's highest-paid non-quarterback, contains two option bonuses. The benefit of this structure is the cap numbers in the initial years are more manageable because option bonuses are prorated over the life of a contract (up to a maximum of five years), including the option years, beginning in the league year when the option is exercised. The drawback is the cap numbers will eventually have a big spike because of the extra bonus proration due to the option bonuses. This extra bonus proration can be problematic if a player is traded, released or retires when this structure is used because it can lead to significant dead money, which is a salary cap charge for a player no Wayne Ellington Jersey  longer on the roster.  The Packers are going to have substantial dead money with Rodgers regardle s of the circumstances. If Rodgers decides to retire after the 2022 season, Green Bay will have $40,313,570 of dead money consisting of $32.640 million of roster bonus proration and the $7,673,570 of 2023 bonus proration that already existed before the new deal. The option bonus proration would come off Green Bay's books so there wouldn't be any cap charges a sociated with the option bonuses. The dead money would be the same with a trade before exercising the option for the 2025 contract year, except the option bonuses would become the financial and cap responsibilities of the acquiring team. The Packers will have to contend with $76,803,334 if Rodgers retires in 2025.             LAR  QB  #9  Contract value: $160 million/4-year extension ($40 million per year average)Contract guarantees: $135 million ($60 million as signing bonus)Fully guaranteed at signing: $89 millionEarliest realistic exit point: 2026 ($129 million earned-new money)Stafford probably had the contract leverage to name his own price on an extension after a stellar postseason in which the won Super Bowl LVI and considering the steep acquisition cost to get him from the . The Rams gave up a 2022 first-round pick, a 2023 first-round pick and a 2021 third-round pick as well as starting quarterback for Stafford. Instead of fully exploiting his leverage, Stafford reportedly wanted a fair deal that would also help the Rams. It's unlikely there would have been any objections if Stafford had insisted on being put in the same place that Goff, who the Rams viewed as an inferior quarterback, was in the NFL salary hierarchy on his 2019 deal. Goff's four-year, $134 million extension (worth as much as $147.95 million because of incentives and salary escalators) tied him with Rodgers as the league's second highest-paid player by average yearly salary. This would have meant $46 million per year for Stafford.             LV  WR  #17  Contract value: $140 million/5 years ($28 million per year average)Contract guarantees: $65.67 million ($19.25 million as signing bonus)Fully guaranteed at signing: $22.75 millionThree-year cash flow: $67.5 millionEarliest realistic exit point: 2025 ($67.5 million earned)The acquired Adams, who was designated as a franchise player, from the Packers for 2022 first- and second-round picks in a sign-and-trade transaction. On paper, Adams becomes the NFL's highest-paid wide receiver ahead of , who signed a two-year, $54.5 million extension with the in 2020. The maximum value of Adams' deal is $141.25 million because of an annual $250,000 Pro Bowl incentive. The deal is really $67.5 million over three years because there's $72.5 million in the last two years. Adams isn't going to play 2025 and 2026 for $36.25 million each when he's 32 and 33 years old.               MIA  WR  #10  Contract value: $120 million/4-year extension ($30 million per year average)Contract guarantees: $72.2 million ($25.5 million signing bonus)Fully guaranteed at signing: $52.35 millionEarliest realistic exit point: 2026 ($75 million earned-new money)Signability became an i sue for the with wide receiver after the Adams deal. He was dealt to the for five draft picks: 2022 first-, second- and fourth-round picks in addition to 2023 fourth- and sixth-round picks. Hill has the distinction of being the NFL's first $30 million per year non-quarterback with the extension he signed after the trade. Realistically, it's a three-year extension for $75 million because of $45 million in 2026, the final contract year.             LV  DE  #98  Contract value: $94 million/4-year extension ($23.5 million per year average)Contract guarantees: $53.03 million ($13 million as signing bonus)Fully guaranteed at signing: $26.515 millionEarliest realistic exit point: 2025 ($50.16 million earned-new money)Crosby was the first member of the 2019 draft cla s to get  Thon Maker Jersey a new contract after becoming eligible to sign an extension once the 2021 regular season ended on Jan. 9. When signed, Crosby became the NFL's fifth highest-paid non-quarterback at $23.5 million per year tying with edge rusher .             BUF  OLB  #40  Contract value:$120 million/6 years ($20 million per year average)Contract guarantees: $51.435 million ($18.525 million as signing bonus)Fully guaranteed at signing: $45 millionThree-year cash flow: $52.5 millionEarliest realistic exit point: 2025 ($52.5 million earned)Technically, Miller has gotten a bigger contract than when he was franchised by the after the 2015 season. Miller signed a six-year, $114.5 million deal containing $70 million in guarantees to become the NFL's highest-paid non quarterback in 2016. The 33-year-old won't be completing this contract like he did his last one, which just expired. The last two years are worth $50 million, with $30 million in 2027.               LAC  WR  #81  Contract value:$60 million/3 years ($20 million per year average)Contract guarantees: $40 million ($21 million as signing bonus)Fully guaranteed at signing: $40 millionEarliest realistic exit point: 2024 ($40 million earned)The Chargers signed Williams before the March 8 deadline teams had to designate franchise players. Williams' franchise tag would have been $18.816 million. His deal was first of the new wave of wide receiver contracts averaging $20 million per year. The Chargers are the only NFL team with two $20 million year wideouts. signed a four-year extension averaging $20.025 million per year with $50 million of guarantees during the 2020 preseason.             TB  WR  #14  Contract value:$60 million/3 years ($20 million per year average)Contract guarantees: $40 million ($18.75 million in fully guaranteed 2022 roster bonuses)Fully guaranteed at signing: $40 millionEarliest realistic exit point: 2024 ($40 million earned)Conventional wisdom suggested Godwin would hit the open market when he tore the ACL and MCL in his right knee late in the 2021 regular season. Instead, the franchised Godwin for a second straight year at $19.18 million. He signed a nearly identical deal to Williams' shortly after quarterback unretired. Godwin and Williams are both represented by Tory Dandy.             JAC  OG  #68  Contract value:$49.5 million/3 years ($16.5 million per year average)Contract guarantees: $30 million ($17 million as signing bonus)Fully guaranteed at signing: $30 millionEarliest realistic exit point: 2024 ($33 million earned)Scherff was a sured of hitting the open market after playing the 2020 and 2021 seasons with the for $33.066 million on two franchise tags ($16.533 million per year) because a third designation would have been at the $29.703 million quarterback number. He continued the trend of a Pro Bowl-caliber guard in his prime becoming the position's highest-paid in free agency (, , , ). Thuney was the standard with the five-year, $80 million contract containing $46.89 million of guarantees he received from the Chiefs in free agency  Mason Plumlee Jersey last year. An annual $1 million Pro Bowl incentive makes Scherff's deal worth a maximum of $52.5 million. Scherff has been named to five of the last six Pro Bowls.               LAC  DB  #27  Contract value:$82.5 million/5 years ($16.5 million per year average)Contract guarantees: $40 million ($25 million as signing bonus)Fully guaranteed at signing: $40 millionThree-year cash flow: $54.375 millionEarliest realistic exit point: 2025 ($54.375 million earned)The speculation about Jackson getting a deal in the same salary stratosphere as cornerback was wrong. Lattimore signed a five-year, $97 million extension worth up to $99.5 million through incentives right before the 2021 regular season started. Jackson e sentially signed the same deal that received from the Dolphins in 2020 free agency to briefly become the NFL's highest-paid cornerback. The big difference is Jones' $14.375 million third-year salary in 2022 had the ability to become fully guaranteed while Jackson's third-year salary in 2024 for the same amount doesn't have any guarantees.             JAC  WR  #13  Contract value:$72 million/4 years ($18 million per year average)Contract guarantees: $37 million ($20 million as signing bonus)Fully guaranteed at signing: $37 millionEarliest realistic exit point: 2024 ($37 million earned)Kirk's deal easily exceeded all reasonable projections of his contract. Incentives make the deal worth as much as $84 million. Kirk will be a $21 million per year wide receiver if he can consistently have seasons with 100 catches and 1,200 receiving yards.             CHI  WR  #2  Contract value:$61.884 million/3-year extension ($20.628 million per year average)Contract guarantees: $41.61 million ($19.5 million as signing bonus)Fully guaranteed at signing: $41.6 millionEarliest realistic exit point: 2025 ($45.834 million earned-new money)Kirk's contract seemingly was an important data point for Drew Rosenhaus, Moore's agent. Moore was scheduled to play the 2022 season under an $11.116 million fifth-year option. He is under contract over the next four years for $73 million, which is $1 million more than the base value of Kirk's deal. When the existing $11.116 million is subtracted out, there's $61.884 million of new money for three new contract years.               TEN  LB  #58  Contract value:$85 million/5 years ($17 million per year average)Contract guarantees: $35 million ($19 million signing bonus)Fully guaranteed at signing: $35.25 millionThree-year cash flow: $52.5 millionEarliest realistic exit point: 2025 ($52.5 million earned)The only way the Titans were going to keep Landry from hitting the open market after 12 sacks in 2021 was to top contract. The Titans signed Dupree to a five-year, $82.5 million contract (worth up to $85 million through incentives) with $35 million of guarantees in free agency last offseason to help give the pa s rush a boost. Dupree had a challenging 2021 coming back from the torn right ACL he suffered towards the end of the 2020 regular season while playing for the .             LV  LB  #55  Contract value:$50.5 million/3 years ($16,833,333 per year average)Contract guarantees: $31.5 million ($12 million as signing bonus)Fully guaranteed at signing: $31.5 millionEarliest realistic exit point: 2024 ($33.5 million earned)The Raiders trading edge rusher to the for cornerback paved the way for Jones to come to Las Vegas. Jones' familiarity with Raiders bra s brings comfort. He was drafted in first round by the in 2012. During his four years with the Patriots, new Raiders head coach Josh McDaniels was New England's offensive coordinator. New general manager Dave Ziegler was a Patriots front office executive and new defensive coordinator Patrick Graham served as New England's defensive line coach before shifting to linebackers coach. The deal is worth up to $52 million because of a $500,000 Pro Bowl incentive each year.             MIA  OT  #72  Contract value: $75 million/5 years ($15 million per year average)Contract guarantees: $43.73 million ($12 million signing bonus)Fully guaranteed at signing: $30.12 millionThree-year cash flow: $46.37 millionEarliest realistic exit point: 2025 ($46.37 million earned)Armstead's market didn't develop as anticipated. His lack of durability was an obvious concern. Armstead has played 97 of a po sible 145 regular season games in nine NFL seasons. He only played eight games in 2021 and had knee surgery in January. That's why his contract contains $1 million in annual per game roster bonuses where he gets $58,823.53 for each time he's on Miami's gameday active roster. There are $2.5 million of incentives in every year that make the deal worth up to $87.5 million.               JAC  LB  #23  Contract value: $45 million/3 years ($15 million per year average)Contract guarantees: $28 million ($17 million as signing bonus)Fully guaranteed at signing: $28 millionEarliest Realistic exit point: 2024 ($30 million earned)Oluokun has the second biggest contract for an off-ball linebacker ever in free agency (by average yearly salary). It only trails the five-year deal averaging $17 million per year signed with the in 2019 free agency. Oluokun's deal is worth as much as $46.5 million thanks to an annual $500,000 incentive for being selected to the Pro Bowl.             BAL  FS  #32  Contract Value: $70 million/5 years ($14 million per year average)Contract guarantees: $37 million ($14.965 million signing bonus)Fully guaranteed at signing: $32 millionThree-year cash flow: $44 millionEarliest realistic exit point: 2025 ($44 million earned)Williams got the top safety contract in free agency. It's on par with the deals , and signed in 2019 free agency for $14 million, $14 million and $13.75 million per year, respectively, with the Chiefs, Commanders and Ravens.             TB  C  #66  Contract value: $39 million/3 years ($13 million per year average)Contract guarantees: $26.5 million ($12.5 million in fully guaranteed 2022 roster bonuses)Fully guaranteed at signing: $23 millionEarliest realistic exit point: 2024 ($26.5 million earned)Jensen was the first Buccaneers player with an expiring contract to return after Brady ended his brief retirement. He gave the  Dzanan Musa Jersey Buccaneers a slight financial break on the deal. Mike McCartney, Jensen's agent, felt confident he could get $15 million per year on the open market from another team, which would have made Jensen the league's highest-paid center. Jensen's contract is worth as much as $42.3 million with incentives.               ARI  TE  #86  Contract value: $31.65 million/3 years ($10.55 million per year average)Contract guarantees: $17.5 million ($8 million signing bonus)Fully guaranteed at signing: $14.5 millionEarliest realistic exit point: 2024 ($21.6 million earned)Ertz showed there was plenty of gas left in the tank after being traded from the to the Cardinals during the middle of last season. The Cardinals felt comfortable making Ertz one of seven NFL tight ends with a contract averaging more than $10 million per year although he turns 32 in November. Ertz can earn as much as $36.15 million over the three years because of $1.5 million in annual incentives.

Nearly two decades later, the feud between Terrell Owens and Donovan McNabb is still going strong. , which is hosted by fellow former NFL star Shannon Sharpe, Owens was asked who he would like to go up against in a boxing match.Owens Edmond Sumner Jersey  didn't pull any punches, as he adamantly said McNabb."I'll be controlled," Owens told Sharpe. "It'll be controlled anger. I'd be like a Navy Seal. I'd be a Navy Seal because you know they're cool, calm under all conditions. But there would be a fire burning inside of me."Sharpe even asked Owens if he thought he could knock out his former quarterback."Clean  Victor Oladipo Jersey out," Owens declared. "I'd knock the Chunky Soup from him. From 2004, trust me."The Chunky Soup jab originates from McNabb's time as a spokesperson for Campbell's Chunky Soup in the early 2000s.  The Owens and McNabb divorce remains one of the most intriguing ones in recent memory. Both played for the during the 2004 and 2005 seasons after  Domantas Sabonis Jersey Owens was acquired by the franchise in an offseason trade. The duo had a ton of succe s in their first season together, as they both had Pro Bowl campaigns. Then Owens and McNabb helped lead the Eagles to Super Bowl XXXIX, where they lost to the 24-21.During a December game against the in 2004, Owens suffered a fractured fibula and was forced to have surgery. Eagles doctors believed that Owens would be done for the season, but the former All-Pro wideout defied the odds and played in the Super Bowl. Owens caught nine pa ses  JaKarr Sampson Jersey for 122 yards in a game in which McNabb to sed three interceptions.Prior to the start of the 2005 season, Owens was involved in a contract dispute with the team and eventually was released in March 2006.  In the years following his Eagles tenure, Owens has said that McNabb ."Why would somebody lie, there were teammates that said he threw up in the huddle," Owens said. The 2022 NFL offseason has been chock-full of splashy moves, from big-name quarterback trades to lucrative free-agent signings. Not a single one of the league's 32 teams is totally done shuffling pieces ahead of the 2022 season (and, to be fair, the work continues well into the season), but we've had enough activity to get a general sense of the movers and shakers of this year. Here's how we'd rank all 32 teams, from worst to first, according to their moves in free agency:Key additions:OT (), OG (), LB ();key re-signings:WR , DT , LB , LB , CB Another year, another spending spree for replaceable veteran starters. It's one thing to take care of your own; it's another to double down on that philosophy after going 4-13 and resetting the staff once again.  Key additions:WR (), WR (), OG (Packers), DE (), DT ()Is this what building around looks like? Pringle adds explosivene s, but they needed more proven starters -- or at least better high-upside bets -- for their transition.Key additions:QB (), RB (Bears), CB (Chargers);key re-signings:RB   Hayward gives them a quality starting corner, and Patterson belongs in Arthur Smith's offense. But they've gottenin the second year of their rebuild. Trading isn't nece sarily the wrong move, but they still botched the sendoff, pretending to build around the longtime QB before flirting with and then dumping Ryan for a single third-rounder. Mariota is a fine stopgap, but he's hardly got a roster around him.Key re-signings:WR , LB , CB Getting to recommit to Green Bay is a supremely underrated victory, but they're one of the few contenders that significantly lost talent rather than gained it, namely via the trade of star George Mikan Jersey  receiver . Campbell is a solid play-maker, but his new deal is steep for an older linebacker, too.Key additions: WR (), DT (), CB (Chiefs), S (Colts)  Ward gives them a much-needed longer-term gamble in the secondary, but they've merely added a few role players while losing a proven starter along the offensive line.Key additions:QB (Texans), RB (), TE (), OG (Colts), C (Bills)They had no money to spend, and it shows. Glowinski is a smart bet on the interior to protect QB , but the rest of their additions are mid-level flyers, at best.  Key additions:DT (49ers), S (Saints);key re-signings:QB With their dire salary-cap situation, they were never gonna make a splash (unle s, it seems, Deshaun Watson had approved a move to New Orleans). Re-upping Jameis is a wise, low-risk play at QB, and Maye is an underrated fill-in for in the secondary, but they've still got plenty of holes to fill.Key additions:WR (Jaguars);key re-signings:QB , WR , DE , S   They were always gonna make their noise in the draft, but Chark and Reynolds make a promising speed duo out wide.Key additions:QB (), TE (Broncos), C (Chiefs), DT (Broncos), DT (Raiders), DE/OLB (Chargers), CB (Bears);key re-signings:RB , TE , DT , CB , S Removing from the lineup instantly throws them into uncharted territory, and who knows why they paid Di sly after getting Fant in the blockbuster deal with Denver? But the haul for Wilson was still decent, as long as they can identify a future QB in the next year or three (easier said than done), and guys like Nwosu, Penny and Diggs can still be difference-makers.  Key additions:CB (Vikings);key re-signings:QB , RB , TE , TE They brought back most of the guys they needed to, save for , but at steep prices. Like last year, they're kind of operating as if it's 2017, committing big bucks to good but aging starters.Key additions:DT(Bills), ILB(), OLB (Packers)  Phillips and Hicks are solid plug-and-play reinforcements for the defense. Smith is more of a boom-or-bust move, giving them a potential All-Pro pa s-rushing pairing featuring a healthier . They might still have a playoff team on their hands, with QBlocked up.Key additions:LB (), CB (Texans);key re-signings:QB , RB , OT , OL , LB , S Not a lot of action here, especially after their 2021 spending spree. The re-signings will help them stay feisty in their  Devontae Cacok Jersey old-school approach, but you would've liked to see another weapon for .  Key additions: WR (Steelers), DE Dante Fowler Jr. (Falcons); key re-signings: WR , TE , LB , S They deserve lots of props for keeping young play-makers like Gallup and Schultz in town, but they're gonna mi s more than most realize, and paying over could haunt them in the long run on defense. line has also taken a hit with the lo s of .Key additions:RB (Titans), WR (Browns), OG (), C Bradley Bozeman (), DT Matt Ioannidis (Commanders), LB (Raiders), S (Vikings), P ;key re-signings:CB   QB is the obvious shoe yet to drop, but the draft has always been perhaps their best bet there. Most of these guys are low-risk flyers, but Corbett and Bozeman are their best O-line investments in years.Key additions:QB (Colts), OG (Jaguars);key re-signings:RB , S Paying up for Wentz's boom-or-bust style may blow up in their faces, but he's still an upgrade at the most important position, easily offering more upside than most available alternatives. Norwell, meanwhile, could be a solid replacement for .Key additions:WR (Cardinals), WR (Raiders), TE (Giants), OG Brandon Scherff (Commanders), DT (), LB (Falcons), CB (Rams);key re-signings: WR , OT , OG The toughest team to grade, they spent all over the place for the second year in a row. Are they better Alfonzo McKinnie Jersey  because of it? Undoubtedly. Kirk should collect targets from , Scherff should help the QB stay upright, and the defensive additions are solid. Yet they surely could've allocated resources better, investing more in proven stars rather than a dozen building blocks.Key additions:QB Matt Ryan (Falcons), DE (Raiders), CB (Raiders);key re-signings:TE Ryan, 36, is another Band-Aid at QB, but they e sentially flipped Carson Wentz for the longtime Falcons QB a future third-rounder. Even if Ryan is just serviceable, they should be back in the playoff hunt. Ngakoue, meanwhile, is an underrated addition off the edge.Key additions: QB Mitch Trubisky (Bills), OG (Bears), C (Vikings), LB (Jaguars), CB (Bills); key re-signings: OT , CB Akhello WitherspoonTrubisky is a fine low-risk option at QB, where they figure to keep adding, but they've also made smart plug-and-play investments up front and on defense. Daniels and Wallace should fit right in as Day One starters.Key additions:WR (Colts), DE/OLB (Panthers);key re-signings:S They've been unusually quiet for a team looking to take the next step in the playoffs, but Reddick is a potential home run off the edge, giving them an ascending talent at a premier position.Key additions:QB (Broncos), RB (Cardinals), RB (49ers), WR Cedrick Wilson Jr. (Cowboys), OG (Cowboys);key re-signings:TE , DE Bridgewater is best suited as a backup, which he'll be here. By keeping Gesicki and adding Edmonds and Williams, they've already given a better supporting cast for the start of Mike McDaniel's tenure.Key additions:WR (Steelers), S (Texans);key re-signings:QB , OT Quality over quantity. Brown sticking at left tackle is huge, and while departure rings loud, Reid is a smart long-term gamble on the back end. JuJu, meanwhile, has the makeup to emerge as a target machine for .Key additions:RB (Patriots), FB (Patriots), WR Davante Adams (Packers), DE Chandler Jones (Cardinals), CB (Ravens), CB (Colts)Did they overpay for Adams, at this stage of his career? Perhaps. Ditto for Chandler Jones. But imagine being , who now gets to throw to not only and but the best wideout in the game. They're ready to compete.Key additions: OT (Jets), DT (Vikings), S Marcus Williams (Saints) Kentavious Caldwell-Pope Jersey ; key re-signings: FB Like the Chiefs, they only swung a few times, but they connected. Moses, Pierce and Williams are all rock-solid starters for areas of need. The latter, in particular, should reinvigorate a healthier secondary.Key additions:WR (Rams), TE (Browns), OT (Seahawks);key re-signings:RB , C , OLB Retaining Jones and Landry to bolster each front was a big win, but adding Woods in a cheap trade to replace is even better. weapons already look more reliable than a year ago.Key additions:TE (Falcons), OT La'el Collins (Cowboys), OG (), C (Patriots);key re-signings:DT , CB , S IIINothing fancy here, just a trio of smart investments up front, where needed more protection. They already had the play-makers; they needed big boys, and they got them.Key additions:TE (Bengals), OG (49ers), CB (Seahawks), S (Buccaneers);key re-signings:QB , WR , S Beefing up the line for is huge, but Reed and Whitehead are potential gems on the back end of the defense.Key additions:QB (Browns), TE (Buccaneers), OG (Titans), DE (Jets), DT (Commanders), DT (Panthers), OLB (Rams);key re-signings:WR/KR , CB Sean McDermott's defensive line got quite a bit better and deeper, and the lucrative deal for Miller, while pricey, gives them an elite pa s rusher as the cherry on top. Now all that's left is potentially another wideout for .Key additions: WR (Bears);key re-signings: OT , C It's tough to say goodbye to Robert Woods, but A-Rob's surprise arrival softens the blow. If/when . returns, they'll still have one of the best and deepest receiving corps in the NFL -- great news for newly extended QB , who also keeps his championship line thanks to Noteboom and Allen returning.Key additions:QB Deshaun Watson (Texans), QB (Dolphins), WR Amari Cooper (Cowboys), WR (Bears), DE (Patriots);key re-signings:TE This one comes with the world's largest asterisk, as they not only parted with major draft capital to land Watson, but also fully guaranteed $230 million to the QB despite his litany of legal i sues Kobe Bryant Jersey , namely 22 civil lawsuits alleging sexual misconduct that figure to elicit some kind of future NFL suspension. Strictly from a football perspective, they are worlds better, going from a middle-of-the-pack QB in to a likely top-10 one in Watson; and adding a bona fide No. 1 wideout in Cooper. Let's see if their polarizing gamble works out on and off the field.Key additions: WR (Falcons), OG (Patriots), S (Giants);key re-signings: WR , C , CB And this doesn't even include return from "retirement," even though the QB's abrupt comeback is the fuel for their entire offseason. Not only did they manage to retain most of their own big-name free agents -- Godwin, Jensen and Davis could still be building blocks for years to come -- but they also added a legitimate new No. 3 WR in Gage.Key additions: QB Ru sell Wilson (Broncos), DT (49ers), OLB Randy Gregory (Cowboys)When you add a top-10 franchise QB, you get a pa sing grade. No price is too steep if your roster is ready to compete and you complete the puzzle with a potential future Hall of Famer. Jones and Gregory, meanwhile, have the juice to inject some serious long-term life into an already-stingy defense.Key additions: TE (Seahawks), DT (Rams), OLB (Bears), CB (Patriots);key re-signings: WR Are they breaking the bank for Mack and Jackson, who may or may not be long-term ? Maybe. But how can you blame them, looking to capitalize on star ascension? Everett is an underrated add at tight end, Williams is a ma sive get out wide on his new deal, and Brandon Staley has no excuses but to improve the defense with this fresh talent.

The AFC is seemingly loaded with star power, owning  and, by default, many of the favorites to contend for the in 2023. There might not be an AFC division, meanwhile, more jam-packed than the North, where have made two straight conference title games, is motivated to get over the hump with the , the are under pre sure to rebound and the haven't tasted a losing season in decades. That doesn't mean, however, that any of the AFC North contenders are exempt from lingering questions. With training camps underway, here are three questions that each of the four clubs must answer before the start of the season:How will the tackles hold up?Every year, it feels like Cincinnati improves its protection for Joe Burrow, and yet every year, we're still asking about its trenches. Jr. is an upgrade at left tackle, to be clear, but removed from the unmatched aid of and the offense, he'll be a big-money addition to watch. Then there's the right tackle spot, where both and are recovering from surgery,  Jacob Evans III Jersey with the former playing the right side for the first time in his career. What is the plan at running back?Obviously Mitchell Robinson Jersey  is a part of it, taking a pay cut to stick as the Bengals' primary ball-carrier. But he's not been the most efficient back of late, averaging fewer than four yards per carry in two of his last three seasons. And with gone via free agency, their chief alternatives are and , who have a combined 47 carries at the level.  Is the new-look secondary in sync? With both and exiting at safety and bidding farewell at corner, Cincy will be relying on at least three new regulars on the back end, including 2022 first-rounder Dax Hill and former vet . The added speed of rookie defensive backs and should help, but the entire group carries a lot of projection. Is ready? As in, ready to functionally operate an NFL offense, which wasn't the case at the start of his polarizing Browns debut in 2022? In truth, Watson needs to be more than functional in a make-or-break year for coach Kevin Stefanski. After an erratic emergence from his suspension, it's imperative for Cleveland's entire regime, which bet so much to acquire him, that he's settled into the system.Who is the real No. 2 pa s target? The Browns took advantage of unceremonious split from the , and the Ole Mi s product has the tools for a big leap opposite . But he's still somewhat of a projection, competing for targets with and tight end , who after six seasons is still searching for a true breakout season.  Does Jim Schwartz still have it?A tough question to answer before the season, perhaps, but the Browns have the personnel up front to do serious damage. Between , , and , they should be able to Bernard King Jersey  pre sure anyone. The X-factor lies with the new coordinator, who tends to be very selective with blitzing and hasn't called a defense in three years. Is the offensive identity established?Freshly paid, Lamar Jackson is now under pre sure to not only stay on the field but make a leap as an efficient, big-game pa ser. The most important ingredient for him may be new coordinator Todd Monken's system, which apparently  and more control at the line. And yet it's vital Jackson and Co. are truly bought into whatever changes have been made. After years of leaning heavily on Greg Roman's run-first scheme, it could be hard to fully flip the switch. Is . truly ready to contribute? The Ravens are betting big that the former star is -- or will be -- healthy enough to elevate Baltimore's aerial attack as Jackson's new No. 1. Now it's prove-it time. Beckham may remain a route-running, hands-catching phenom when active, but if/when he takes the field in a game, it'll be the first time since the Rams won the Super Bowl in 2021.  What is future? With or without the former first-rounder, the Ravens defense has the pieces to succeed, starting with fellow linebacker . But Smith's arrival at last ASAP Ferg Jersey  year's trade deadline might've been the best thing to happen to Queen, freeing up the LSU product to register career numbers. On a contract year after a declined option, he's been a popular subject of trade rumors. Is the offensive line stable?Nothing will delay a young quarterback's development quite like a failure up front, and while Pittsburgh has taken pronounced steps to upgrade its line the last few years, it'd be nice to confirm that rookie left tackle , in particular, is DeAndre Jordan Jersey  prepared to protect blind side. Ex-Eagles starter is another new face to monitor on the inside. What is expected of Kenny Pickett this year?Last year, Pickett didn't see his first NFL action until October, and he didn't really his stride until late as a rookie. Going into Year 2, it'd behoove Steelers bra s to set a bar for the former first-rounder. Is it a disappointment if he doesn't guide a playoff run? A postseason win? After veteran upgrades on both sides of the ball, surely the standards have been raised at least a bit.  Is ready for an expanded role? The veteran corner  that he's learned several new positions in his first offseason as a Steeler, meaning he's a virtual lock to replace as the Swi s Army knife of Mike Tomlin's secondary, with snaps at nickel, dime and safety on the table. On a "D" where lots could be asked of newcomer , his comfort as a veteran starter is key.

One of the biggest needs for the this offseason is to find more weapons for second-year quarterback , specifically at the wide receiver position. While there will be a number of notable pa s-catchers hitting the  Buck Williams Jersey free-agent market in just under two weeks, there's also the trade avenue that the Patriots can explore. According to , New England has shown some interest in trading for receiver . characterizes the conversation between the two teams as exploratory and added that nothing appears imminent at this point. This isn't the first time that the Patriots have shown interest in Anderson. The 28-year-old himself admitted leading up to the Patriots-Panthers Week 9 matchup this past season that Bill Belichick tried to sign him as a free agent back in 2020. After considering signing with New England, Anderson instead inked a two-year, $20 million  Jordan Bowden Jersey deal with Carolina and even agreed to a two-year extension last summer that has him under contract through the 2023 season.     Robby Anderson   WR  TAR110REC53REC YDs519REC TD5FL0 In his reporting of the situation, Berdard illustrates that the po sible acquisition of Anderson could result in the Patriots moving on from fellow receiver , who signed a two-year, $26 million deal with the team last offseason. Anderson and Agholor do have an  Wilson Chandler Jersey overlapping skill set of being able to stretch the field, so there is a case to be made that there would be some redundancy within the offense if both were  Nicolas Claxton Jersey on the roster. The Patriots would save $4.9 million against the cap if they were to trade Agholor. In his first season with the team, he caught 37 pa ses for 473 yards and three touchdowns.  Meanwhile, Anderson is a former undrafted free agent out of Temple. He initially came up through the NFL with the where he proved to be a viable deep threat. The best season of his career came in 2020 when he caught Chris Chiozza Jersey  95 pa ses for 1,096 yards and three touchdowns for the Panthers. Those reception and receiving yard totals were effectively cut in half in 2021, but Carolina was also plagued with subpar quarterback play throughout the year, which could be part of the reason for a down year.

The are entering a new era in 2022, but it's also one that could bring immediate succe s. The front office made one of the offseason's most intriguing hires in head coach Mike McDaniel, and then completely revamped the offense - Treveon Graham Jersey - from the offensive line to the running backs to the wide receiver room. However, this Dolphins team doesn't move forward unle s quarterback does.During a recent interview on SiriusXM NFL Radio, Dolphins general manager Chris Grier was asked what has stood out to him about DeAndre' Bembry Jersey  Tagovailoa as he prepares to enter his third NFL season. Grier spoke about how he's noticed more confidence and excitement from his quarterback. He also said that his offense has bought into coach McDaniel, and that the defense has noticed a difference in their counterparts during their short time together."Even  Bob Pettit Jersey the defensive guys about a week ago were saying they cannot believe the transformation on offense and how these guys are doing," Grier said.  "The players we've added around him has him really excited" GM Chris Grier talks about the rise in confidence for Tua Tagovailoa thanks to some offseason additions   SiriusXM NFL Radio (@SiriusXMNFL)  While trading for star wide receiver was an obvious headline, Miami also stole away from the . Adding two new weapons is nice for Tagovailoa, but a better reason he's set up for succe s in 2022 are because of the upgrades on Dewayne Dedmon Jersey  the offensive line. Grier went out and signed new left guard , previously with the Cowboys, and then one of the top players in this free agent cla s in former left tackle . To cap it off, the Dolphins signed three new running backs in , and -- all of which have starting experience.  With all of the new players and the new scheme coach McDaniel will implement, the Dolphins will look very different in Moses Malone Jersey  2022. If Tagovailoa can take a step forward in his development, then this Miami squad will surprise people.

Now, the Browns and Texans are nearing an agreement to send the 26-year-old to Cleveland in a historic trade that is reportedly set to include three first-rounders among other pieces. While this closes the book on Watson's spin around the carousel, it sends Mayfield's into hyperdrive. The big news out of Saints practice was practicing on a limited basis. Thomas mi sed most of last season with an ankle injury and has recently been dealing with a hamstring injury.Falcons rookie wideout was limited as he continues to work through a knee injury. Head coach Robert Saleh initially  in the opener after suffering a torn meniscus and a bone bruise in his knee in the preseason. However, Saleh now says that Wilson will. That thrusts the 37-year-old Flacco into the starting role and will face a Ravens team that he spent the first decade of his career with and helped win Super Bowl XLVII.  Jacksonville had perfect attendance during practice, but the team did list defensive lineman Folorunso Fatukasi (calf) as limited. The Commanders were without safety Kam Curl (thumb) during the first practice of the week, while tight ends (knee) and (hamstring) and wideout (concu sion) were limited. The team also listed him with an elbow injury. Cleveland also listed five players as limited: wide receiver (hamstring), defensive end (hamstring), cornerback (hamstring), safety (hip) and tackle (knee).   Carolina kicker (left hip) was a and Matt Rhule noted he did kick on Wednesday. While this is a promising sign for his status for Sunday, Rhule added that the team may still sign a practice squad kicker as an emergency option. Welcome to the Friday edition of the Pick Six newsletter! After watching the play last night, I think I can unequivocally say that their season is over. I mean, it's not technically over, but there's no way that team is making the playoffs, and I'm so sure they won't make it that I will print out this newsletter and eat it with Funyuns if they somehow do make it.The Packers are now 4-7 on the season through 11 weeks, which means they've already matched their lo s total for the past two seasons COMBINED. Anyway, we'll be recapping last night's game, plus we'll be making some bold predictions for Week 11 along with some game picks, so let's get to the rundown. As always, here's your weekly reminder to tell all your friends to sign up for the Pick Six newsletter. To get your friends to sign up, all you have to do iswith them. With their 27-17 win over the Packers last night, the are now 7-3, which makes them the ONLY team in the NFL that has started 7-3 or better Aldrick Rosas Jersey  in each of the past three seasons. Not only do they have a comfortable 2.5-game lead in the AFC South, but they're only a half game behind the for the top seed in the AFC. After shocking everyone by earning the No. 1 seed in the AFC last season, the Titans might just surprise everyone by doing it again.  Everyone's sleeping on the Titans, except for Ryan Wilson, Will Brinson and I, and that's because we didn't sleep last night. Instead, we recorded a 30-minute podcast about the game. Here are a few key points from the game that we went over: looks like the real deal. When Tannehill is playing well, the Titans are almost impo sible to beat, and he was playing well Thursday night. The Titans QB completed 22 of 27 pa ses for 333 yards and two touchdowns. The pa sing total was his highest since Week 2 of 2021. Tannehill was so good throwing the ball downfield that it was scary. He completed four pa ses of 30 yards or more, which allowed him to finish with 12.3 yards per attempt on the night. because it was the second-highest average ever by a visiting QB at Lambeau Field (only Randall Cunningham had more). The Titans finished with 408 yards of offense, marking the first time this season they've topped the 400-yard mark.Titans wide receivers have a breakout game. Tenne see's offense revolves around , so the receivers don't always get in on the action, but they saw plenty of action in Green Bay, led by rookie , who caught seven pa ses for 111 yards in just his second game back since being placed on injured reserve in early October. The Titans also got a big game from , who caught a season-high six pa ses for 69 yards. Even got in on the action with two catches for 28 yards.Oh Henry. If the Titans have a big night on offense, you know that Derrick Henry must have been involved, and that was the case against the Packers. Although Green Bay held Henry in check on the ground -- he averaged just 3.1 yards per carry -- he still managed to do some damage. Not only did Henry total 132 yards (87 rush, 45 receiving), but he also THREW a touchdown pa s. During the third quarter, Henry threw a JUMP pa s to that you . (That was actually one of two touchdowns that Hooper caught in the game.) Thanks to the TD pa s, Henry is now just one of nine players in NFL history who has rushed for at least 75 touchdowns AND thrown multiple TD pa ses in his career. Henry also became the first player this season to hit the 1,000-yard rushing mark.Packers fans boo the home team. The Packers offense was so bad Thursday night that fans started booing after threw an incomplete pa s in the fourth quarter (you .) Rodgers hasn't been great this season, and he continued to struggle against the Titans. He mi sed multiple wide open receivers, and his worse mi s arguably came on a third-and-3 midway through the fourth quarter when he overthrew . The Packers scored on their second po se sion of the game, but didn't really do much after that on a night where Rodgers went 24 of 39 for just 227 yards. (Rodgers has now gone 16 straight games without hitting the 300-yard mark.) Despite the offensive struggles, was a bright spot. The rookie caught four pa ses for 48 yards along with two more touchdown pa ses. Watson now has five touchdowns in a two-game span, which is tied for the second most by any rookie since 1970. (Randy Mo s holds the record with six.)Titans offensive coordinator charged with DUI. The Titans played their best offensive game of the season, but offensive coordinator Todd Downing didn't get to celebrate for very long, and that's because he spent part of his night in jail. Downing  after being pulled over. Downing  Malcolm Roach Jersey was booked into jail at 4:39 a.m. and made bail roughly two hours later with a release time of 6:46 a.m. CT. The Titans OC was arrested in Williamson County, which is just south of Nashville. Not only is Downing facing potential legal ramifications, but he could also be punished by the NFL. The league's personal conduct policy applies to coaches, and anyone who gets hit with a DUI can be suspended for up to three games as a first-time offender. If you want to hear our entire recap of the game, . You .The best part about Friday -- besides the fact that it's Friday -- is that you get two episodes of the podcast in your feed. After recording the Thursday night postgame podcast with Wilson and myself, Brinson kicked us to the curb so that he could record his weekly picks show with Pete Prisco and R.J. White.  Those three guys spent nearly 60 minutes going over their best bets for every single game being played in Week 11, and we're going to cover three of those bets from each guy below. You actually might want to listen to them this week because they're coming off a pretty solid Week 10 where they combined to go 6-3. They've now gone a combined 19-7-1 over the past three weeks.Pete Prisco(2-1 last week in picks covered here, 19-10-1 on the season) (+7) to cover against the  (-3.5) to cover against the  at OVER 41 pointsR.J. That way, if you like their pick, you'll be able to read the rest of them, but if they pick against your favorite team, you can ignore the rest of their picks and move on. Every pick that was featured here last week ended up being correct, so let's see if we can make it two weeks in row.Pete Prisco -- Raiders (+2.5) 28-21 over .From Prisco:For the .Will Brinson -- Vikings (+1.5) 24-21 over Cowboys. From Brinson:For .Tyler Sullivan -- Patriots (-3.5) 27-17 over Jets. From Sullivan:For the .Jordan Dajani -- Eagles (-7) 30-20 over Colts. From Dajani:For the rest of .John Breech -- (-4) 27-20 over .The Bengals won't have , they've lost five of their last six in Pittsburgh, and the Steelers will have , which all seem like good reasons to pick the Steelers. Despite all that, I feel like the Bengals just have more overall talent Jordan Miller Jersey , so I'm picking them. For the .With a monstrous snowstorm in Western New York, the Thursday to move the Browns-Bills game out of Buffalo. Is this good news for the ? Who now has the advantage?  Here's everything you need to know about the situation:Game is being moved to Detroit. The only thing that's changing about the game is the location. The time (1 p.m. ET) and the day (Sunday) will both be staying the same. In the past, the NFL has been known to move games from Sunday to Monday for weather-related i sues, but that wasn't an option here because the play on Thanksgiving. Why this could be an advantage for the Browns. For the Browns, the new game site comes with one potentially big advantage: The Bills are going to be losing their home-field advantage. With the game being moved closer to Cleveland, it will be easier for Browns fans to get to the game. Also, and more importantly, it will likely be easier for Browns fans to get tickets, which means there could be a strong Browns contingent in Detroit. The Browns are 1-3 on the road this year, so playing a neutral site game instead of a true road game is definitely a good thing for them. Why this could be an advantage for the Bills. Although the Bills will be losing their home-field advantage, they will get a slight benefit this week in the form of le s travel. With Buffalo playing in Detroit on Sunday and Thursday, that will cut down their traveling schedule. Thanksgiving week can be hectic for any players who have a game on Thanksgiving, but the Bills will get to spend four days in Detroit leading up to the game, which should make for easier preparation.Bills cancel Friday's practice. The snowstorm hitting Buffalo is already causing i sues for the Bills, with the team being forced to cancel their Friday practice. The team is expected to fly to Detroit on Saturday, but first, they have to get to the airport. During a similar situation back in 2014 -- where a Bills game got moved to Detroit due to snow -- several players . This week's game will mark the sixth time since 2000 that a game has been forced to change locations due to weather, and if you . If  Marcus Davenport Jersey you want an idea of what the snow looks like so far in Buffalo, you . You can also see .There's nothing we love here more than making bold predictions, so we asked Jared Dubin to come up with five of them for Week 11.With that in mind let's take a look at his predictions:Bills drop 40 on the Browns.Jets beat the Patriots. hits 100 rushing yards for a third consecutive game. scores a rushing TD and receiving TD.  gets more snaps than . For a full look at Dubin's .It's been a busy 24 hours in the NFL, and since it's nearly impo sible to keep track of everything that happened, I went ahead and put together a roundup for you.  DC Attorney General going after Commanders again. For the second time in as many weeks, the attorney general in Washington D.C. has filed a lawsuit against the Commanders. This time, the team is being sued for allegedly "implementing an illegal scheme to cheat District ticket holders out of their deposits for season tickets and use the money for its own purposes." You can check out a few more .Eagles sign .It took just over 10 weeks, but Suh has finally signed with a team. The five-time Pro Bowler is headed to Philadelphia . After losing to the Commanders in Week 10, the Eagles clearly realized that they had a weakne s in stopping the run, so they moved quickly to fix that weakne s by adding Suh.Mecole Hardman placed on IR. The Chiefs receiver is going to mi s at least the next four weeks after being placed on . The move means Hardman won't be eligible to play again until Week 15 when the Chiefs play in Houston.Jets sign former Chiefs offensive lineman. The Jets have added some depth on the offensive line in the form of . The lineman, who doubles as a medical doctor, took time off in 2020 to help fight COVID. LDF played in eight games for the Jets last season and will now be returning to the team. Duvernay-Tardiff had in June so that he could finish his medical residency.MetLife Stadium getting new turf. There have been a lot of complaints about the turf at MetLife Stadium, and it appears the stadium is now going to do something about it. MetLife  in 2023. However, the stadium likely won't be switching over to gra s because the surface takes such a beating with both the Jets and Giants playing there. Instead, MetLife will likely be installing the most technologically advanced synthetic turf available.

Gisele Bundchen hasn't had much to say publicly about her husband's decision to return to football this year, but the wife of finally has broken her silence on the matter.During a , Gisele gave her thoughts on Brady's decision Aron Baynes Jersey  to come out of retirement back in March. One big thing that she noted is that she would like the quarterback to be "more present" in family life."Obviously, I have my concerns -- this is a very violent sport, and I have my children and I would like him to be more present," Gisele told the magazine. "I have definitely had those conversations with him over and over again."Although she clearly seems to be in a situation where she wants Brady to be around more, she also added that when it comes to football, he needed to make a decision that was right for him.  "Ultimately, I feel that everybody has to make a decision  Danny Green Jersey that works for them ," Gisele said. "He needs to follow his joy, too."As you'll notice, Gisele didn't exactly say that she was onboard with his decision. Brady's decision to play football this year has reportedly caused some strife in the relationship, . The interview with Elle was held before the Buccaneers started training camp, which is notable, because it means that it was held before Brady left the team for 11 days in August.Brady was asked about Terence Davis Jersey  his absence in late August, and that's when he gave .  "I'm 45 years old, man. There's a lot of shit going on," Brady said. "So you just have to try and figure out life the best you can. You know, it's a continuous proce s."According , Brady spent most of his time off at a private resort in the Bahamas with his family. Brady's first game of the NFL season was on Sunday night and although Gisele wasn't in attendance, she did tweet out her support before kickoff.  Lets go ! Lets go Bucs !  Gisele Bndchen (@giseleofficial)  During on Monday, Brady seemed to lament the many things that he's Vince Carter Jersey  had to mi s due to his football career.  "I haven't had a Christmas in 23 years and I haven't had a Thanksgiving in 23 years," Brady said, . "I haven't celebrated birthdays with people that I care about that are, you know, born from August to late January. And you know, I'm not able to be at funerals and I'm not able to be at weddings. And I think there comes a point in your life where you say, you know what? I had my fill and it's enough and time to go on, to move into other parts of life."Brady will be a free agent after the 2022 season, but that doesn't mean he'll sign with anyone. Every time he talks, the quarterback sounds more and more like a guy who will be ready to retire (for a second time) after  Fred VanVleet Jersey the season.
